What Is Your Favorite Style Of Beer?

I was going to make this a poll, but I figured I'd leave it a bit more open-ended.

My favorite would be stouts.

 

Belgian ales; particularly golden ales and tripels.

Smooth not too hoppy lager

 

I like wheat beer. Dunno the specifics on em, but ShockTop and Schlafly Hefeweizen are pretty good. Shocktop's had a lot of really tasty brews over the winter season. Hefeweizen is the cleanest beer I've ever tasted in my life!

 

in general porters, stouts, and brown ales but I do like a good lager on a hot day

 

I prefer golden lager, ale or pilsner above stouts and brown or red beer anyday.

This sounds like my preferred direction with beers as well.

 

IPAs. I like hoppy beer.

I do like wheat beer from what I've tried.. I'll have to try out Shock Top one of these days, we even have it at my store.

What would you recommend for brown ales aside from Newcastle? Because I do like Newcastle, but I think that's the only brown ale I've ever tried


Also, I'll try to expand the topic a bit and also ask what's everyone's least favorite style of beer?

Mine would be IPAs (sorry Wizardofodd =P)... they taste like soap to me for some reason

 

#1. Maibock (Dead Guy Rouges)Dead Guy is a German-style Maibock made with Rogue’s proprietary "PacMan" ale yeast. It is deep honey in color with a malty aroma, rich hearty flavor and a well balanced finish. Dead Guy is created from Northwest Harrington, Klages, Maier Munich and Carastan malts, along with Perle and Saaz Hops.
In the early 1990s Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day) for Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. The Dead Guy design proved popular and was incorporated into a bottled product a few years later with MaierBock as the elixir. Even though the association with the Grateful Dead band is pure coincidence.

#2. Imperial Porters but often to strong APV 9-13% for drinking enjoyment but get you smashed fast.

use to love hoppy IPA just got turned off them a little while after a bad brew ..

 

Least favorite=domestic crap like Bud, Busch, etc. I would honestly rather drink water or nothing at all before choking that stuff down.

You gotta come to Oktoberfest and party wiff us in the löwenbräu tents then hehe. Slip a 5€ tip every round and those wenches will look after your food and beverages needs.

 

id take a pitcher of warm piss right now,, anything better than the reeds and mikes hard I won from the radio station..
of all the mikes hard lemonade was ok, the reeds strawberry was the better out the apple and the tea.. still cant believe I won all that booze.
