I love science........all of them....there is a science for just about everything. In high school I favored Astrology and Oceanography....Now I like so many...Here are some of the sciences hard and soft off the top of my head....What did I forget? What is your favorite and why? Let's discuss some of them here.... Animal Behavior Anthropology Astronomy Aquatic Ecology Bacteriology Behaviorism Biochemistry Biology Botony Chemistry Computer science Criminology DNA Profiling Ecology Energy Science Forensics Geology Histology Inorganic chemistry Mathematics Medicine Microscopy Metabolics Minerology Molecular Biology Neuroscience Oceanography Organic chemistry Parasitology Pharmacology Physics Psychology Quantum Physics wildife ecology zoology
If I had to choose, I'd pick psychology/neuroscience because I majored in it and I find our minds and the brain really fascinating. The past couple years I've grown to be more intrigued by cosmology and theoretical physics type stuff. Probably because It's kind of en vogue with shows like Through the Wormhole and Cosmos but It's interesting stuff.
Cosmology and outer space.....Yes.....love it all, too...Those Morgan Freeman Through The Wormhole programs are very informative and thought provoking....I love them, too.....
Information Technology (IT) Though it is closely associated with computer science, it is a separate stream and very interesting.
I'm going to have to copy Guerillabedlam's answer almost exactly, except those weren't my majors. I have to throw in chemistry, anthropology and physics too. I don't really have a favorite among those. Why? I don't really know. I'm drawn to that stuff like I'm drawn to food, lol.
I had to look that one up, Fairlight ....reincarnation....interesting....never heard the scientific name for that before.....
i think i find genetics the most fascinating. i like learning about evolution, and i like doing genetics experiments at work more than i like biochemistry ones. even though all my degrees are in biochemistry, i would say i use genetics and molecular biology just as much. i also find neuroscience very interesting, though i am not as knowledgeable on that one.
It would be cool to go digging around at different sites for bones and stuff...... I love telescopes and planetariums. Why is space so comforting, I wonder....It just is somehow..... Forensic science is pretty cool....the more that is perfected, the less chance of someone innocent getting framed.... Chemistry....all those liquids in test tubes, fun..... hell, it is all fun....
I am a student of Cosmology considering it is technically the study of everything, physical and non-physical. That just about covers it.
i recently read (most of) The Ancestor's Tale which i thought was really cool. it is a journey backward through time meeting our common ancestors with chimpanzees, gorillas, etc. etc. all the way down to the origin of life. i'll probably read something else by him eventually, but science fiction is usually more entertaining.
Gemology and mineralogy- i'm a total magpie, love shinies. my fav stones include opal, amethyst, labradorite, mouldevite.,,, abnormal psychology- i love how the human brain is so perfect and yet with just a little chemical imbalance, genetics, a tweak here or there.... and everything can go haywire.
Just thought of another....is the science of bugs called entimology? I am going to go look it up right now....not that that would be a science I would be all that interested in.... ok, it is...apparently spelled it wrong, though....entomology.
