i'd have to decide between creedence clearwater revival , the who and simon & garfunkel ... and maybe beatles too . i voted for all of them but if i would have to choose one and only one i would probably choose ... the who ? ( not exactly my favourite band but the best from this poll )
Led Zepplin? Tool? Radiohead? I mean come on ABBA and Jefferson Airplane? how did those two make the list???
What decade are u living on? Too many bands missing this poll. On the other hand, these will do pretty fine, for hippies. As this IS the hipforums.
Jefferson Airplane needs more votes!!!! Anycase, Beatles and Hendrix ROCK just as hard. I'm sorry, but I just can't get into The Dead.
The Beatles. And I was surprised to see that you included The Band - they're amazing too Probably as good as The Beatles, though not as well known.
i like the Grateful Dead best out of those choices, then Beatles... but i have to say my favorite bands are Tom Petty TOOL and KoRn, and NIN and APC and Godsmack.
Leonard Cohen, Guns 'N' Roses, Pink Floyd, Duran Duran, Thelonius Monk, Zappa's synclavier period? Hard to say, maybe Yes?
I like jethro tull, pink floyd, led zeppelin, black sabbath, moody blues I was forced to pick, the who (which i like but not as much as the afore mentioned menstrals (sp).
Even though it is good that people apreciate good bands and everybody has their "phases". But couldn't we all just try to be more evenhanded with artists, instead of only sticking with the 70's. Get's boring like the lil kids sticking with nu-metal.
My man..The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, King Crimson, Yes, The Mothers of Invention, etc...these bands are not a phase..these are artists that shaped my teenage life and made songs that I will bring to my grave, thank you very much.
I was just listening to this tone I like very much by the Beatles: https://www.youtube.com/v/Ym0x3vTw6yc&rel=1 Edit: Awesome, I just noticed. If you run your cursor along the bottom, you can select other beatles songs.
Wow little dude, I could say the same thing about every band you mentions 'cept i'm 58 now and they did shape who I am today, I'm sure.
