I might have to sleep upstairs tonight. My wife has the hiccups so loud right now that I was like "Jesus Christ! Is that like the hiccup mating call of the wild? Other people with hiccups 2 or 3 blocks away can hear you and respond?" :D

So what's your method? I've always heard you should take a deep breath, completely fill your lungs with air and then hold it for as long as you can. Supposedly, that will reset the little flap that causes hiccups. Any truth to that?

Take a deep breathe. Hold it for 20 seconds. Without exhaling take another breathe as deep as you can and hold that for another 20 seconds. Exhale slowly. That usually works for me

i don't know. they just never seem to last that long anyway, so i don't really worry about it.

i guess i try to hold my breath. maybe that's what's helping.
