No. My previous posts made me think of eldery Jews though, giving it all the random 'profound' shit. Fuck knows why
I took nap for a short while there not because of the post but because of a closing/opening shift yesterday... Ok yah I still disagree, but you have the if in there reads differently than I originally read it. The idea of social creatures agreeing on a reality is not that remarkable to me. I don't know what about that strikes you as remarkable. So is taking a hallucinogen or a paranoid schizophrenic hallucinating perceiving reality? If I see my friend growing whiskers on LSD but I see him without whiskers sober which one is reality since my eye perceived both?
What strikes me remarkable is that our agreements are as strong as the density of a stone of a radiantly powerful as the sun. One of the observations we can make about the mind is that it is naturally abstract. They are both effects of the mind.
really? Our agreements certainly are not that strong. Do you pay attention at all to religious vs. Scientific, communist vs. Captalist, medicine vs. Alternative therapy ways of thinking. We certainly do not agree that strongly on many parts of reality and seemingly universal things we seem we should agree on like not killing people often can be justified by radical notions one creates or is told to follow.
Okay, you realize that this is my alternate scenario to objective reality, that in the absence of objective reality we make it all up. So if we make it all up, it is remarkable that our imaginations are so concertedly in tune that we can construct solar cells to capture the energy from sunlight.
That does not seem to be going against the notion of objective reality and I do agree that there are some elements that are objective in nature. I do not agree that it then is safe to assume that all of nature or the universe is objective, much like there is subjectiveness in thought I think so must there be in the universe and some of it goes beyond the scope of human science, rational thought and logic.
I must not be getting what you mean by all of nature is not objective. Perceptions vary. There is always something to be learned. We know that we are physically limited in our perceptions. Things may not have occurred to an individuals imagination but that does not mean that we do not enjoy the full effects of reality.
Everything is objective reality until one engages a particular aspect of the OR which then makes it subjective. You,QB were part of that OR until I subjectively chose to make you part of my reality. I now know you exist, therefore when I choose to aknowledge that you exist, you cease to be part of Objective reality.
