What is the one piece of advice you got that changed your entire life?

I have recently become very interested in the great English modern artist Francis Bacon.During one interview which I saw on youtube he described himself as being "Very optimistic.".When the interviewer asked him what he was optimistic about,he replied "Nothing…". I find this a very salutary wisdom and shall be applying it henceforth in my daily life.

 

I don't know if it was advice, but when the military Doctor stated that " Your days of Wine and Roses are over son", my outlook on life changed forever.....

 

If you dont like what your doing why are you doing it.

Made me realize anytime in life when your unhappy about something you have the power to change it.

 

I know it sounds cliche but a good piece of advice to me was "Love yourself". If you don't love and respect yourself, you can't learn how to interact with and love other people effectively.
