i am currently collecting the "toys" of the band... tomorrow i shall get a shaker and/or some moracas (however theyre spelled).. :H.
Hmm. Probably a harmonica. I plan on buying a heap of guitar stuff first though (capo, noise gate, wah pedal, etc.)
A Fender Stratocaster, and then I'll most likely get a Vox AD30VT amplifier for it, with a few seperate effects pedals. I'd like to get an acoustic guitar too sometime. In a year or two I'd like to get a Fender P-Bass as well. I also hope to one day own a sitar. They're incredibly expensive though, so I'm not sure.
I'd really like to save up enough money by Christmas to buy a decent alto sax, but not for myself, for my boyfriend, because he was probably the best sax player this town's ever seen and everytime he talks about it, his eyes wander off and you can see how much he misses it.
Well.. an amp isn't really an instrument, so I suppose it'll be another guitar! Not sure which one though, probably electric.
Well I'm not actually buying it but I'm making a drum, a size or two bigger then a djembe, out of a section of a tree trunk that I found on the side of the road. Djembe like shape. Lots of work, so it will be quite a while before its done.
A Martin J-41, its the biggest meanest acoustic guitar I could ask for... sadly its also freakishly expensive.
I'm thinking about trading in a couple of electric guitars and a rather lousy acoustic for one, nice acoustic. I have this mid-'70s Ibanez Les Paul copy and one of those Korina Modernes that Epiphone put out in 2000 (I saw one just like it sell on eBay recently for about $1,300 and I only paid $400 for mine ), and I know I'm never really going to play those. Plus, I have this little Washburn folk guitar that I got at a pawn shop for $100, and I don't need that anymore. So I'm thinking about trading in those three for maybe a Martin acoustic. I think I ought to be able to get $1,250 or so for those three guitars, so I think I could pull it off.
