i think it'd be better to focus on supporting alternate forms of transportation, rather than focusing on your disdain for cars. do you own a bicycle at least? how about supporting (with your money, the most powerful thing you can do as a consumer) a hybrid car company, or a fully electric one, or some other solution to the problem? do you travel outside the town you live in much?
The Ford Explorer these days seems to be the vehicle of choice among a number of local and state police departments Hotwater
I sold my 2000 Tacoma when I left Canada. In China, I had a shitbox Honda bike. I'm going to buy an early 2000 Corolla when I land in the Middle East next week and my license goes through.
guy finally answered the phone i just got back from buying a smart fortwo ..........kind of looks like a clown car :clown: it needs repairs and will be a good money making car to flip
There are a couple smart cars in the area, IMO the not so smart cars. My s10 would smash it non the less my jeep which could fit the front end under it but the tire is level with the mirrors. For slow speeds I can see their use, But highway, That's a death trap waiting to happen. To each their own, That's the beauty of it. Just like America and muscle cars, V8's and high horse power! Now the diesels are more fuel efficient and just as or faster. I think that will be my next purchase, 3/4 ton dodge with a cumin's. Eco mode nets 26ish and roll coal mode at 16ish. I drive like im 90 so I should net the top end of fuel mileage. I would like to roll some coal though lol.
yep..never had one myself as a personal vehicle but they sure are good for salvage..most have aluminum rims and a high value catalytic
i have never financed. the damd things are hassle enough, without adding financial hassle on top of it. the last one i owned has probably been melted down for scrap and recycled by now. considering as how THAT was more then 20 years ago. i miss there not being more and better public transportation. i DO NOT miss anything else then the places it enabled me to get to, about owning one.
my first car was a canadian 1994 chevy cavalier. it was a pretty good car, and well worth the 300 USD (or was it 100?) that i paid for it. i bounced it off a guardrail one snowy, slushy morning, so from then on it had a mis-matched hood and front end. the fan broke, so my dad rigged up a new fan that was powered directly from the battery and had an off/off switch down by the hood release latch. so i just had to turn the fan on whenever i drove (and off when i parked). scored my wife in that car yeah, that's the kind of stuff i was asking about in my post at the top of this page.. do you take trains or buses to get to far away places? bicycle for medium-length? i bike to work all year round, but i drive a car to other places on the weekends and for long trips. i don't know if i'll ever finance a car either. just doesn't seem like a good idea to me. if you can't afford it...you can't afford it.
