What is the easyest method of joint rolling for a newbie?

Okay, first thing about rolling (like anything else): Practice is the only way to get better.

Roll however you feel comfortable, try different things everytime you roll, you'll find a method that works well for you. I've been rollin J for a few years now and I'm always picking up new techniques.

The more you tree you put in, the easier it is to roll. Generally the skinnier the J, the easier it is to roll a tight toothpick spliff that you can't draw anythign from. So be generous with how much you put in.

Push the tree in a bit from the two edges, that way less falls out as you roll.

Like in the illustration, roll it back and forth until the tree sticks together and kinda takes the form that you want your J to look. Straight and even, a cone shape, pregnant (skinny > fat > skinny) etc.

Before you can actually roll and seal it tho is the part that trips most people up. You gotta catch the bottom (non glue edge) of the paper between the tree and the paper. The easiest thing to do is just edge it in there a bit in the middle, then tuck the two sides in. Then just roll it up and seal it.

Cardboard roaches are great to keep the smoke smooth and the mouth end from getting resined up, but if you're smoking at night in the dark, by the time you get to the roach you're stoned and cant see and dont know if you're smoking tree or cardboard.

And remember, any J that smokes is a good J!

the method I used was watching someone do it once, then from that gathered the basics and practised and practised until i could roll the perfect spliff. that way, you learn your own ways and techniques, it becomes an individual thing.

Who cares what tha joint looks like, as long it smokes, thats all that counts!

 

The way that joints (like all constructed objects) shows the skill and care used in its making. An ugly looking joint is more likely to fall apart and less likely to draw smoothly than a good looking J.

yeah cones are the shit! though the people who roll the worst joints must be the brazilians, they just pack some dried bud into a bus ticket or other nasty paper and ligtht it up... now that's gross

 

damn that cone pretty much has me drooling... but our joints (same kind is big in canada too) are more economical... but i without a doubt see the beauty of the euro joints, if i had the weed id do it lol
