What is the best rpg game ever?????

ff7 was my favorite turn based, but I grew out of them. I need an rpg with some action now.

Has anyone said Quest 64, or Rhapsody the musical adventure yet? The latter is seriously dolled up to appeal to girls, but the story itself is actually pretty amazing.

Even though we said no Final Fantasy can I say Crisis Core? Final Fantasy is just a subtitle at that point. B|

 

Its been 5 years hopefully he upgraded since then.

kinda hard for me to pin down just one favorite, if I had to it would be Skyrim.
BUT I will say that hands down the best software developer/producer for RPG's is without a doubt Bethesda, the makers of the Elders Scrolls series, Fallout 3, and more.
haven't seen any other company pull off RPG games with the attention to detail and character development and also the all important "free form" feel they impart to the games that lends itself to better immersion in the game world.
It is kinda hard to get into a RPG when you are restricted in terms of where you can go or the order in which you complete the quests/story line.
Hell, I played TES2-Daggerfall daily for 15 months and NEVER even started the main story line quests......LOL

Coming in at a VERY close second is Bioware, makers of groundbreaking games like the Baldurs Gate series, Mass Effect, .Dragon Age series and Star Wars:The Old Republic.
Mass Effect definitely takes the prize in my book for providing a very cinematic experience and almost seamlessly integrating cut scenes with live action.

 

yeah, bethesda is pretty sweet...havent done the fallout games yet, wolfenstien the new order was awesome as was the prequel wolfenstien: the old blood...eso is decent now that they worked alot of bugs out...im waiting for the new doom beta to come out being as i got a key code to play the beta on ps4 from wolfenstien the new order...

bioware has always been a favorite, still have kotor and kotor 2, never finished mass effect 3(which i will continue some day) and i took my first plunge into the world of dragon age with inquisition for the ps4...fucking brilliant game series i must say...

 

Dragon age was supposed to be my next purchase but i found the action pack with tomb raider and just cause and some other game for $30. So looks like i wont need another game for a few months.

 

Secret of Mana was pretty good. Great music too.
