Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, or anything that sounds appealing to me really.

Anything by Medeski Martin & Wood is extremely good driving music.

Its a bit jazzy but its very fun to listen to on the road. I'm tellin' ya, you won't be dissapointed. Heres a taste.

Listen to this all the way through.

This past summer we drove from Tidewater Virginia to the West Coast (Promised Land - Elvis), and I would have to say that the music that lent itself best to passing the miles was Country & Western. I am talking the golden age of C&W. Here a few to get things started:

Six Days on the Road Dave Dudley
Wonder Could I Live... Charley Pride
    Johnny Cash anything
    L.A. International Airport Sammy Raye
Stranger Johnny Duncan & Janie Fricke
    Good Ole Boys Ronnie Proffitt
    Country Sunshine Dottie West
    Amos Moses Jerry Reed
    Okie From Muskogee Merle Haggard
    Satin Sheets Jeannie Pruitt

Look at one of the lines from song #4:

...waitress in a miniskirt, hippy in a leather shirt...

songs like this take me back to Greyhound bus stops in places like Barstow and Needles in 1967.

With this being a RocknRoll site, allow me this post.

    thank you,
    JKHolman

p.s. goodnight, everyone. It made for a fun night.
