Share the best advice that anyone has ever given you--it could be about family, relationships, work, life, trivial matters, or anything else. By "best" I mean most practical, most true, most profound, or anything else that you found useful over the years.
"Don't join the Navy" was the best advice I ever got. Unfortunately, I didn't listen, and joined the Navy. Exactly 15% of it was cool. The rest sucked.
dying people dont talk about fancy cars and expensive houses they talk about memories of fun times spent with friends time is the only thing worth anything and its worth everything so share your time with your friends and dont waste time with the ones who dont share some back
Mine is both the best and worst advice i've ever gotten - "Get a grip." Pretty much text book what NOT to say to a deeply depressed person asking for help, but it helped me in an odd way. Made me realize I could really only depend on myself and now I know how strong I am. So it worked out
Oh and when I was 14-15 there was this old Morgan Freeman-esque man who worked at the shoe repair shop in the mall..he was a dying breed, you don't even see shoe repair stores anymore. For some reason my friend and I struck up a conversation with him one day and he ended up being this wise old man who gave us advice about all our teen angst everytime we went to the mall for a couple of years. I don't have a clue what he advised us to do but I do know he was the best adviser i've ever had. It was like something out of a bad movie lol
Years and years of advice I received from my dad as I was growing up. I didn't want to listen to a lot of what he told me back then but after I left home and as I grew older, his voice was in my ear when shit came to fruition. I wish he was alive so I can thank him.
Best advice I ever had was from Myself I just said ( to myself ) " don't listen to anyone's advice not even mine " Fucking works for me
