Animal Collective- songs: In The Flowers. Bluish. and Water Curses The Sound Of Animals Fighting- songs: On The Occasion Of Wet Snow. Stockhausen is a very very very strange song. Avey Tare & Kria Brekken- songs: Foetus No-Man and Palneka are wow. Kleerup- song: Hero (really intense for just staring and majorly tripping) those are good for sitting and tripping. but if i were doing things, i like the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper
Since you are young, you may not be aware of this cd. But in my mind, the best piece of music to space out or trip to is Jeff Wayne's musical version of War of the Worlds. It has it all. It has the ultimate story line, narrated by Richard Burton, and some ultimate music with the likes of Justin Hayward doing a most beautiful song in Forever Autumn, and Phil Lynott doing some outrageous vocals as well, and if that aint enough, just listen to Chris Spedding's guitar work. "Forever Autumn" was a UK Top 5 single, sung by Justin Hayward. The album itself spent 290 weeks in the UK album charts. It was in the top 10 in 22 countries and reached #1 in 11 countries. Most of the lyrics on the album were written by former Elton John lyricist Gary Osborne. The album was one of the first recorded on 48 tracks, using two synchronised 24 track Studer 80s at Advision Studios in London.
Pink Floyd (Dark Side of the Moon, Meddle) Fursaxa (Any of her albums) Hope Sandoval (Bavarian Fruit Bread) Björk (Vespertine, Homogenic) Cocteau Twins (Treasure, Stars and Topsoil) Larkin Grimm (Harpoon) Ultimate Spinach (Self titled album, Behold and See) The Incredible String Band (The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter) Donovan (A Gift from a Flower to a Garden) Ravi Shankar (anything)
Counting Bodies Like Sheep by A Perfect Circle is seriously an out of this world experience when you're high on whatever. It's magical man.
Here is one I am listening to now. Havent listened to it in many years, but a good one to trip to. Jane- Fire, Water, Earth, & Air.
Ok, here is a definite trip. First found out about this guy about 10 years back on a PBS special. His name is Kitaro, and he has been making music since the early 70's. The video I watched was called An Enchanted Evening, and featured on this video is a young guitar player by the name of Angus Clarke, who now plays for the west coast version of the Trans Siberian Orchestra. But listen to An Enchanted Evening by Kitaro, it is available on video and cd. I categorize this recording as a mix between Santana, Yes, and Pink Floyd. Also, Kitaro's older stuff is great trippin music as well. Here is a fav of mine from the very concert I mentioned----- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgO81dKsL4Y&feature=related
Here is another for you. A band called Cusco. Here is a fav song of mine from them, with a cool video. https://www.youtube.com/user/lordxxxxx#p/u/2/srUN0tMXo6Q See, I am more than just classic rock!!!

Techno, or House, or anything without words. Because then you can really just space out to the music, and you dont have to think about what they are saying, what they are saying wont get you worked up or excited or sad or whatever. Lyricless songs are the best to just space out to. I do this a lot to daft punk. they are my fave.
