a real talent would be to not get all worked up with wut nonsense is mostly said on these forums. and no im not calling u out. i personally like wut u have to say
I think not being a push over, and standing up for yourself is a talent . I don't know that talent necessarily equals compensation. I suppose it comes down to what the talent is.
Is someone has a talent that is marketable then of course they should be compensated for that as the market will bear that monetary gain. Talent in any entertainment field is rather subjective to personal taste. If enough people feel that they are talented then they will be able to succeed in that field.
Real talent is when somebody has something new and original to offer, which has some substance to it other than novelty. If it's not new and original, then it supersedes whatever has been done before on the basis of sheer quality, however one decides to measure that quality. Should a person be compensated for it? Sure, but for some people an appreciative audience is compensation enough, and those people I have found to more often than not be the true artists. I have found that money has a diminishing effect on talent over time.
I think talent is really that intangible thing that seems to make the persons actions stand out as more than the sum of the parts. No matter what their talent they seem to flow with what they are doing like it's the easiest thing in the world. It's what makes the actor believable, the singer magical and the sculptor profound!

I think "real talent" should possibly be read as "natural talent." I think everyone has a natural talent but maybe they don't always discover it because they don't take chances and find it. I've been fortunate enough to stumble across two things that I have a natural talent for....out of many, many things that I have enjoyed trying with limited success.
talĀ·ent (tlnt)n.1. A marked innate ability, as for artistic accomplishment. See Synonyms at ability. 2. a. Natural endowment or ability of a superior quality. b. A person or group of people having such ability: The company makes good use of its talent. 3. A variable unit of weight and money used in ancient Greece, Rome, and the Middle East. i suppose the compensation question depends on which definition you're using. definitely if you're going by the last definition; obviously real money is something that you get something for.
