What is patchouli?

Is it some sort of incense?

 

Yeah, it's a fragrance. Lots of hippies wear patchouli oil.

 

I tried looking for an incense called that at Kroger because I was curious, but I couldn't find it. It's an oil eh?

So you wear it like cologne?

 

Patchouli is a flowering plant, Pogostemon patchouli, a member of the mint family. Distilled for an essential oil with a distinctive, earthy smell. Used as a perfume or incense.

It's a well known law, if you don't like patchouli, they will kick you out of the club.

 

I never had a shot anyway. I bathe way to often and I don't like it when my hair gets too long.

 

Clean hippies are happy hippies.

What is the fragrance patchouli?
Essential oil made from the patchouli plant has a "pungent, powerful, mossy, musty" fragrance. The viscous, orangey-amber oil is extracted from the leaves of a two to three foot perennial bush with purple-tinged white flowers, native to tropical Asia.

 

You're thinking of Nag Champa.....patchouli has a spicey aroma.

 

i actually bought some patchouli a month ago. *hides in shame* it was cheap and i really like the smell.. it reminds me of incense.

the catch is though... it is STRONG... so i only dab a SMALLLL amount when i wear it.

 

I hate the smell of it it's so strong and there's nothing feminine about it.

 

hahaha i dont always wanna smell fem.-

and also, im telling you,.... it's strong cause people PUT ON TOO MUCH.

there is a way to put on a LITTLE and i think that smells good.

 

I am just really sensitive to perfume and cologne the only one I can wear is one I won't name and then another one that's made for kids and is honey scented. maybe most perfume just doesn't agree with my body chemistry? I'm sure you smell just delicious though trish I'd lick your neck and see(;

 

Dont say lick in front of me.. its just not right to tease like that.
