Sleep all day, wake up and vomit on the bed...

 

Oh, heck, I know that well, Ty....lol...not so funny when it happens....and cats are really good at licking their own asses....too.....

and after that, they may want to lick your face.,....

Apparently, cat dog kangaroo goat tiger squirrel horse etc are all the same, except I don't think I've ever seen cats humping people's heads. So that might be the big difference.

to me it means not being emotionally dependent on social relationships. that's the main thing nearly all species of cats have in common. humans demonstrate the ignorance of humanity when they mistake that for arrogance.
we are capable of affection and occasionally even play together. i'm not quite as big on play fighting as most cats seem to be. but then my own species aren't really cats. not earth cats anyway. we just look like anthro cats because that's how sapience evolved on our planet.

sapient cats have something in common with vulcans, in as much as we can never entirely trust our emotions. we differ from then though in that we don't actually try to deny having them.

we do very much care about the kind of world each other has to live in, because we realize we have to live in it ourselves also. unlike humans though, we generally prefer to live in it by ourselves.

lananaran cats i mean. earth cats, it varies. some species can be quite social.

really for every generalization about cats, there is at least on species that is the exception. cats that are social, even cats the like to swim and catch their own fish.

am i a cat? not exactly. in my non-human form, and in my previous and future lives, i just happen to look rather like one, and share SOME of their nature and inclinations.

aside from being a-social, or avoidance behavior, or whatever they want to call it these days, and its neither shyness nor arrogance, though there always seem to be those who for their own agendas choose to see it as such, at any rate, my sleep patterns seem to resemble those of most cats as well.

oh and did i mention, i also happen to live in a house who's other occupants are also mostly cat variants of one sort or another. several of whom can change their appearance to look even more catlike then i do.

well in addition to the human-cats, there are also three of the little fuzzballs. two stripy grey males one fluffy grey female.

 

being a cat, there is no such thing as monday. all of this naming the days from one moon to the next and thinking they should all work at the same time as each other and play at the same time as each other, those are all human conciets. cats have better sense then that.

 

"I think you mean 'WAS' your bed,dog. You can leave whenever you're ready-don't let me delay you".

Loved and adored, I will purr all the time
mistreated and misundertood, I will growl
I scratch the backs of those that treat me well
and hiss and snarl at the rest, can't you tell
Left alone, I am able to find things to do
unlike the dog who needs to be chained to your hip
I am clean and have grooming habits well down pat
unlike the dogs that can stink and don't care
I can sleep all day and come alive at night
when I come out of my shell
I am independent, and yet I am loving
if you are good to me.....
and if not...you will be caught and destroyed like a rat
I am fey, so I read your thoughts pretty well
and if you're lucky will curl up next to you
I don;'t drool, I don't bark incessantly
I am pretty quiet at all times

I am cat and no one tells me what to do
I have my own inner clock and sense of right.
If you look my way, I won't disappoint and will always strike a pose
do a dance...and smile for you
I will listen to you quietly and even when you think I do not hear

will be the first one at your side when you 're down

pretty tired today...long day cleaning out a house...so that is my best attempt at poetry here half asleep
