I think what makes him most annoying are his fans. Those tween girls who are completely obsessed with him. Who sent death threats to Selena Gomez because they were dating, or the ones who cut themselves because he smoked weed.

When I was a tween, I loved the Backstreet Boys and N'sync, as did every girl my age, I'm sure, but back then we didn't cut ourselves or spend every waking second obsessing over them. I guess as a person Justin Beiber isn't THAT bad. The fans and obsession are the most annoying things.

right? backstreet boys were my shit when i was a kid. then i moved on to linkin park.

either way, i've never been the type to actually obsess over anyone i don't know personally. as a kid i remember seeing famous people in advertisements, so perfect, then in the line at the grocery store i'd see those tabloids, filled with pictures of the same famous perfect people, looking like total shit. that's when i realized that cameras suck. and also that i don't give a fuck about famous people. and i don't keep up with people i don't give a fuck about.

 

I'm the same way. I used to love celebrities and want to look like them, until I realized that they are pretty much like us, except photoshopped haha.

 

I was into New Kids on the Block and then Backstreet Boys. Never got into N'sync, though. Today, the boy bands just do not appeal to me.

 

Me too. I don't know if it's just because I'm a lot older now or what, but boy bands now are just so ridiculous. I don't know if they just try too hard, but they are definitely not like the boy bands from when we were younger!

 

yeah, as a kid i liked those boybands, mainly because children tend to have no real taste developed yet.
but now i realize, they're not REAL. someone else writes their songs, they've got trained voices. its shit.

 

Do not get me wrong, I still have sentimental feelings for the songs I listened to back then, but it is simply attempting to listen to basically regurgitated forms of the same music by new bands that I cannot bring myself to do.
