often you can never really tell... they usually hang around malls and myspace they are not as elusive as one would imagine, however they usually populate rural communities here's some... watch this video and it will explain everything http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6147775012060788442&q=the+emo+song&hl=en
I like your comeback but a child's mentality cannot be reasoned with... which of course makes my two replies above just as pointless!
Someone should do a nature documentary. *whispers* Here we can see three androgynous Emos feeding on slushie at an Orange Julius after a hard day's hunt for hair care products and the ever-elusive pink shirt.
Now that would be funny *Unaware of the impending danger, the emo herd drifts ever closer to the lurking peril- perhaps their biggest natural enemy, the metalhead*
it's actually been done...emos have been exploited hardcore the funniest was this thing online i saw where a couple of big guys with hawks were like "emo police" and they went around collecting emos i can try and find it, it was quite humorous
It sorta sickens me when some (key word: some) emo folks like... poke at depression like it's a toy or something. It sort of infuriates me, in a way. Though, not really mine to bother with...
yeah, it's the bandwagon mentality that irritates me...but laughing at the poor dears is kind of fun. best emo description i've heard though is that it is what would would happen if Harry Potter got dumped, then went goth, then wrote about the whole thing in his journal/myspace blog...
yah sure emo is bad, but lets not limit ourselves. What about indie fucks ("That was so Febuary 2007" I once heard), yippies (read most "hippies" who are in fact just wannabes), typical stoners (read 4:20 take after Spicoli types), metal heads (yah slayer HARDCORE ), pop punk ("Good Charlotte is the best punk ever" ( ), goths and abercrombie douches (the ones who take on the persona of the store, to be "coool"? There is a HUGE lack of culture in 95% of todays youth. They lack personality and latch onto labels.
^Thats the way its always been, nothing new about trends and groups they've always been around and always will be.
i learned the term just several days ago... i used to think such people are called punks... anyway they look quite ok and even beautiful let them do whatever they want to
Hmmm... most of my friends are metal heads and NONE of them like Slayer... People can identify with a group but still be an individual and I don't see why people are so down on people who want to be part of a group.
You say all that, yet 'hippies' are just as shit as the next trend, if not more so. Hippies are probably the most elitist of the trands. It's alright to say 'I'm an individual', but in all honesty no one is: nobody is an individual in this world. And what the hell is 'indie'? That's one tred I've never understood.
So true... Slayer fans are kicked out by the true metal heads. My boyfriend always tells me about how he liked Slayer when he was about 12 and then he got a brain
To bring up the point about metalheads and emo kids being natural enemies... it's just not necessarily true. I'm emo and my boyfriend is a metalhead... and we're not enemies. Doesn't that give you hope for the world?
Exactly... I listened to Slayer when I was 12 too... then I grew up. Nothing is a bigger joke than Manowar though... talk to Rob about Manowar. Shit, tell him to download the song "Power of thy sword", it's the most hilarious song ever.
