Bubbles in the water are nothing but water, yet, they have their own identity.

A worldly person will see the world from a bubble's point of view. A person who percieves beyond that is said to have divine sight.

It is a matter of range, ultimately.

How far can you feel? There is no measurement other than what you allote to your "self".

The ego is a mask on the face of our absolute consciousness which we are technically unaware of as we experience ourselves from second to second. This consciousness is what animates the entire universe and comprises a "self", a divine self, the self of god, the self of absolute reality. As an ego we are technically unaware of this self although we experience its symptoms, "our livng experience". But where is consciousness when we are asleep or are dead, is it gone? No, it has us, manifests our dream of finite self and moves on to animate another when our individual expiration date is terminated. So absolute divine consciousness, what is called sat-cit-ananda, is what drives, animates and perpetuates the embodied phenomenon of life, pushing us through the suffering of our finite lives so a we will turn to face our exitence and therefore question that very life. If we do indeed return inward, the possibility is there that we will be alowed to awaken to our real self, that divine self, that source of our life and eternal mind that is the actual source of consciousness, God or heaven. This is Nirvana and is enlightenment. Namaste

Exactly, the absolute consciousness of sat-cit-ananda, which when refracted down into pranic descent becomes our minds. The consciousness symptoms of life is indicative of God. Himself.

"The idea that brains produce consciousness is little more than an article of faith among sciencists at present, and there are many reasons to believe that the methods of science will be insufficient to either prove or disprove it." (Sam Harris,The End of Faith, p.208). Agree?

yeah. even if i felt the need to look for a physical origin of consciousness, it's hard to ignore living beings with no more than a central nervous system, or even less than that at their disposal. both the central nervous system and it's offshoot-the brain, seem to be more of a result of consciousness, rather than an origin. really, to me, consciousness is all pervading and cannot be defined-as it contains all definitions. the same goes for truth, existance, god, etc. these are all descriptions of the same indescribable all that is. it seems that the only point to all of this grasping and labeling we go through is that we eventually see, or feel, the futility of it all. we open ourselves to the present moment. this is one of my favorite things to ponder, because it seems pointless to go through all of this logic just to toss it aside-and yet the logic is what carries you safely to the point where you are ready to move on. ok, i'm having one of those drunken rambling moments and i'm gonna stop myself before i completely lose sight of what i was trying to say.

I suppose there's no solid proof of conciousness solely as a result of our brain's functions, but we can knowingly alter conciousness by prodding at our brains, and finding areas of it control different functions of our bodies and minds, so the attachment isn't too hard to see. I kind of think of the brain as an anchor of id and ego into "reality".

but I'm young and have lots of experiance to gain.

I feel like earthly consciousness is something we woke up into, another level of our consciousness choosing to sort of slumber while we tune into this human experience, yet it is soaking in our surroundings. I picture ourselves as constantly moving particles and light energy, and every other ball of light energy or particle we come into contact with generates more movement and a reaction inside ourselves. In fact, our entire world is stemming from each little particle of ourselves, we are attached to all, and ur movement creates it.

    haha...i Tried

The mass field of the Hiranyagarbha as the causal plane, pregnant with the infinite points of the consciousness causating bindus, after inducing matter to form within this field, initiated the evolution of finite embodiement that we now experience as our individual selves.
Thus, our finite consciousness of ego self is directly indicative of the absolute mind that is its source.
When life reaches human, it can re-realize its original divinity, in effect living as divine after having been embodied after the recource of physical evolution.
Without experiencing and living our divinity as a living state, we instead live as a paltry being, subject to our driving karmas which consumme us, control us, and take us to death finally. Om Tat Sat

Conciousness is the product of the Awareness/Being principle of the spirit, which all things have. The soul comes from the union of the Spirit and the Lych, or physical body. All things have this principle of being, but the soul is the product of that union as it manifests on that particular strand of Wyrd, or Fate..

Animals with brains are of higher conciousness that things without, humans most so thanks to the Fire in the Head. The Brain receives signal from the Mynd, and we register senses, and extrasensory stimuli.
