A chav is another name for a bogan. I know it's not a nice word to use and i don't like to bag the crap out of people but you see enough of them around
If you come down my way (yes ballarat has a suburb that is called Wendouree West) it's all the weirdos and bogans that live out that way.
I used to think that way. But really, why not try and better yourself as a person as you progress through life. A nice haircut, some nice clothes, you can put together a decent outfit from a Salvo op shop if you wanted. Where you grow up is no excuse, certainly not in Australia anyway

Scroggers, skanks, plebs, townies, twokkers, scutters, trogs, smack rats....I think the old vernacular to describe disreputable, lower class types was much better!
