actually i kind of like the sakahachi, though i've never had one.

also there's a kind of multi pipe reed, not a panpipe, that's from south east asia somethere,
that you can actually play chords on. i can never remember what its called.

 

Good Question. I've thought about this question over the years.

I've decided on Violin for a few years now.

I've gone back and forth between piano and violin.

The "deal breaker" that has made me side with the violin is that the violin is more transportable.
