If mass and energy cannot be destroyed then what ever is weighty about you is safe. All other matters are inconsequential.

you can say it doesn't exist now, in the sense that the appearance of matter is created by the interaction of energy and forces, but since this IS what we define as matter, this is just playing with meanings and words.

  3. We can only know that zero exists if we agree to a definition of what it means. That is to say, we can only know that zero exists if we speak to each other and form some concept of it that we can agree upon must be real. I would say that it is real just because it's something you're seeing, even if that something is just the shapes of the word "zero." In so much as something is going on here, I'm certain I have seen the word zero.

But as far as the actual concept of zero goes, I'm not sure it really holds water. You can't have nothing because you're having something. To take nothing away is simply to leave things as they are.

I think looking for other universes might be kind of a desperate attempt to understand this place -- it's sort of like trying to jimmy a three-pronged plug into a two-pronged outlet. You might at some point manage to get it in there, if you cut off a plug, but will it work?

opposite seems a more functional idea than zero since it
may in some usages imply nothingness and yet can do so much
more . zero is too specialized to be a catagoricaly important
idea where-as opposite can adeptly refer to puking punk !

    consider :

there is no opposite of opposite , no opposite of zero .
there is nothing And everything rather than nothing Or everything .

has matter never existed in some aspect of wholistic existence ?

the question about matter may not be so iffy .

commonly , a quality of matter is a pos/neg spin . what is the
    opposite ? i wouldn't think of it as anti-matter , and i'd wonder
more about the opposite of spin .
