Got a Pillar album for Christmas and I love it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o29nveogbbo&feature=related"]YouTube- Pillar - "Call To Action" - from Pillar's 9/22/09 album, Confessions
I have seen em 3 times. They blew my fucking head at bonnaroo, amazing sound + huge stage + vial of acid = hysteria. Also, they were after bruce springsteen assaulted my senses - it was like going from purgatory to heaven. also, embedded videos? missed that memo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEHU7Nv_alE"]YouTube- Tenacious D - Master Exploder uncut enhanced audio also, it's not a new decade till next year...
Man, I been listening to all the vibes peeps have listed and there's some really cool stuff ... It's wild how one can get really into their own specific tastes and miss out on what else is happening. Just from a musician's sort of perspective, I dig opening up to other flavours from time to time, as it helps get away from the monotony of one's own genre's ... and adds to one's overall style on their instrument / s. Ahoy Bro ... Now we talking Metal ... actually, just my vibe here, but I reckon one can scrap the whole term 'Metal' and call it 'Pantera' instead. EDIT: Although Sepultura were Kings before Max Cavalera left. Ahoy Zilla, but it's pretty cool, or what? I'd dig to do the same with the links I've listed, but ... and a genuine but, won't it cause issues with server space? I don't know, I'm no wiz when it comes to these things? Man, I gotta disagree ... check it out, the last decade, and millennium started in 2000, so: 2000 = 1 year 2001 = 2 years 2002 = 3 years etc … … 2009 = 10 years One Love!
Ahoy BubT ... Do you rate The CC album? I dunno, at first I thought it was awesome, really got into it, but after a while I started to notice that Igor Cavelera's drumming was really lame ... I mean lame in comparison to what he is really capable off. Also, while the solos have loads of flavour, the rhythms in general just seem to be too repetitive. The album sounds almost like, umm, it was rushed and had no time to develop organically ... anyway, just my vibe Bro.
Max is pretty lazy now imo, I think the songs on that album by themselves are really good, but if you listen to the whole album at once theres not alot of variety. Though I saw them when they were touring as CC and it was an insanely good show. So although I think the album could have been more, I don't think thats what they wanted. Its just a group a fast heavy tracks. I think there are a few great tracks on it and some mediocre ones. What I've also been listening to again metal-wise is Trivium's ascendancy album, fucking love that album, imo not a bad track on that one, but always have to keep that love to myself now they released their more recent albums which I hate, but when that album came out in 2005? and they were just becoming known, awesome. This randomly came on shuffle last night, brought it all back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njQzOqY1hNI&feature=related"]Like Light To The Flies
Actually, everyone who thought the new millennium began in 2000 was also mistaken. it began in 2001. There was no year 0 - the first year in the common era was 1 CE. Therefore, the 10th year is the last in decade, and year one is the first. About the video embedding, I imagine $kip believes the server can handle it at this point since he didn't even make it necessary to use code to embed. :cheers2: this is my favorite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwUctgGIZJQ"]YouTube- Yeasayer - Sunrise
