What I don't get is not allowing us to go out in fresh air and sunshine which are proven to kill the virus. Staying inside and recirculating stale air has got to be worse for everyone.

I hope this ends soon, for everyone's sake.

    Exactly.
Just like the restarant restrictions, here the restaurants has to closed at 10 pm,(cause the virus is more contageous after 10pm obviously) It makes no sense..

Same here, we are already seeing the effects on peoples mental health. and even worse is people can't get treatments for anything if it isn't covid

You should be so lucky matey. The restaurants over this side of the 'pond' went into lock-down on Boxing Day and haven't re-opened since.

That is terrible! Here is a free episode from Ray Bradbury's Theater which anticipated something like all this. It's called... The Pedestrian.

Haven't traveled at all. Go to the grocery store occasionally all masked up. Haven't seen any of my kids or grand kids since this all started except son # 1 with whom I live. Was semi retired and was enjoying being a delivery boy for the roofing crew, which includes son # 1. That's gone, so pretty much rely on my computer, the TV with different places to watch including Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc, and some reading. Was in the hospital for a week starting April 6th for a leg operation. That went well. I am now vaccinated with 2 shots of Moderna and the whole family will be very soon. The roofing company has never slowed down during this virus business and has just hummed along as usual. Damn lucky we are for sure as so many people have lost their businesses , homes and lives. A-plus BBB rating and word of mouth has certainly helped. Oh yeah---today is another birthday of mine in a pretty long string of them:D Holy dookies---82!!!

Yeah, except restaurants here has been forced to close completley for nearly a ear, they have litterally only been open for 2 weeks, and even though the restrictions makes it hard for them to make money and barely keep the skin on their teeth, it's better than nothing

I tend to look at things from an historical perspective and to have experienced a pandemic in my lifetime it gives me a better appreciation of what others have gone through in the past.

the 1918 pandemic took the lives of 675,000 Americans, and as of May 3rd the coronavirus pandemic has taken the lives of 577,000 Americans.

With advances in science and technology over 100 years, we should have done better.

We would have if you know who hadn't upended normal behavior over the last 4 and a half years. We're not out of danger in many areas because of him and his gutless cult members.
