What group or type of people do you dislike most?

My little sister is gay, and I've been her strength and saving grace on more than one occasion. In a world where being gay is STILL looked down upon, they need all the genuine love and support they can get.

I just lost any smidge of respect I had for Piaf.

Agreed. I have nothing against gay people, but the activists annoy me, especially considering that in America, aside from small hick towns in the south, gay people have it better than pretty much anywhere else in the world. I am not sure exactly what they're protesting for or against.

Piaf is entitled to her opinion, and I don't think she should be looked down upon because she doesn't have the same politically correct opinion as the majority of the people here.

 

It has nothing to do with being politically correct. We're entitled to disagree with her opinion. Welcome to the internet.

 

This leads me to believe no one close to you is gay. Or that you have not experienced, first hand, the idiocy that comes from the people in even the most "politically correct" parts of the country/world.

I saw this website by Homosexual activists trying to engineer a boycott of the Russian Olympics. It was utterly sickening. They were calling Russians "Nazis" and all sorts of offensive and ill informed crap. I actually think it was Washington backed to deflect attention from the Snowden/spying scandal.

However, homosexual activists have never attempted any major harm to me personally. There's plenty of other groups/types/people who are only worthy of contempt.

If I was talking about types of people I dislike, I think I'd say insincere/skanky types are the worst. The ones who all suck up to you. But deep down you know they are thinking "how is this person useful to me..."

I don't think it is that unreasonable to boycott an event because the country in question has passed a law making it illegal to express support for gay rights.

 

Can you get the fuck over the thumbs already? I'm pretty sure you're the only one that hasn't moved on from that. Anyway, I don't have the energy to waste on you today.

Also, there's a big difference between disagreeing with an opinion in a civil manner, and thumb downing a post about death of a loved one. You're such an inconsiderate asshole to even dare to compare the two.

But the key point is, that Russia doesn't do that.

Russia doesn't ban gay rights. Its not Saudi Arabia. It thinks that sexual matters shouldn't be promoted in public to kids. So you can't promote Polyamory/orgies/S&M or anything to kids. Just like in the West, you can't promote any form of porn to them.

There are gay areas in Moscow just like in Western cities.

The whole debate has been skewed into Russophobia and misinformation.

Why should millions of Russians (inc a substantial number who have struggled since the huge upheaval of the 90s) suffer because of a campaign of hate against their Christian/personal views and their efforts to develop their country? Heterosexual Russians don't say "right lets ban all gay musicians"..

This is ignorance of the facts by them. And serious double standards.
How would you like it if someone attempted to destroy your livelihood, because they didn't like your country's democratic process?

In most places in the US people can still be fired for being gay. In 35 states gay people can't get married. I'm not sure in what sort of warped way you're justifying this as being good enough, but it's absolutely not okay, and your own biases and prejudices are why you cannot see that.

She's looked down on for her opinion because she praises Russia's banning 'homosexual' propaganda. Politically correct is saying African American instead of black. Not arresting gay people for their opinions and allowing them to get married to whom they chose is a human rights issue.
