Immortals Fenyx Rising on Switch currently has my attention and is satisfying the BOTW itch nicely. Also playing Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity as well as doing my daily plays of Animal Crossing.
I just read something about Xbox's game pass (I think that's what it's called) being touted as NetFlix for your console and I couldn't be more sold! I'm sort of skeptical about the future of hard-copy gaming. It seems really clunky to me. I like being given money for used games, but with the pandemic that option has become ever so slightly less attractive. I'd prefer digital access, and if they found a way to make it cheaper... Well, they found a way to make it cheaper. You pay a monthly membership fee. PlayStation and Nintendo also have there own subscription services, but I think Xbox's has them beat. Forget PS5: Xbox Game Pass is the best gaming gift of the holidays
My interest in video games has waned - I think mostly because it's doggone expensive! But the other day at work a coworker brought to my attention that Final Fantasy XI still has a server where you can MMO. That game was the first FF MMO game, and I thought it was brilliant! Everyone is crazy about FF XIV though (also MMO, but later...). And wasn't WarCraft really big? Those games were alright.
I've been playing Train Simulator 2 whenever I get board. I can only play it for an hour then I have to find something else to do lol
not*. Playing that is... I can only find half-hearted inspiration to even look over at GameStop to see what's brewing in Final Fantasy -land. (i like FF games...). The remake (of VII) is lazy if you ask me - I don't care how much different it is. It's only nominally interesting and novel for players of the original. It speaks to a new contingent of gamer who frequents conventions and uses FF as a springboard for what is now newly known as 'cosplay'. And so... not the same anymore. ;D This is the game: FINAL FANTASY VII Remake
