I found my first KKK meeting. I think they were initiating somebody so I snuck up. I didn't get a clear look but two of them burned themselves to death.
There was some bad guys in a church nearby. I killed them on the 3rd attempt. got some stash. Now I just sleep until noon and then I'll get lunch and go and find something to do. I also got myself an alligator and I learned that fish pay pretty well. How do I get a bath? I found the bathroom in Rhodes but not sure how to use it in the posh saloon.
I wish there was an Arthur voice generator. I want to hear him say thing like... You shut your pie hole now, ya hear?
They are officially making a final fantasy 7 remake. My first experience with final fantasy was with that game. It was my friend's game. He was playing on his system at their house with me just watching. It was a fantastic game I thought. Now there will be a brand new one. The graphics look cool. I still feel nostalgic for the original though. I'm sure if I pick up the remake (and a system to play it on! lol) I will feel just fine about it though.
You order your bath at the bar at the saloon or at the check in counter at the hotel (for example in Valentine). I rarely fished myself, didn't really like that activity (mainly because a ton of other stuff is more fun). Only with camp members or for an official side mission. After you robbed your first bank (and i think you got so far already? ) there's no absolute need to make dollars like that anymore anyway. Yeah, that environment you're in now has great atmosphere as well , although it is clearly more southern than wild west (a little annoyance i had with the eastern part of the map: that's not why i got this game! Imagine if that lake between Blackwater and scarlet meadows was prairie or desert too. But i'm at peace with it because it's pretty cool in its own way. St. Denis, swamps, plantations. All lovely detailed)
it's kind of fun going after the legendary fish. but yeah, other than that the whole fishing thing is just kind of a waste of time. it might be a little better if you could carry more than one big fish at a time, but one good catch and your horse's carrying capacity is full. and then you just end up riding around with a rotten fish since it's usually so far to go anywhere to sell or stash it.
Hunting crocodiles is much more profitable (stash one on your horse and skin the rest). Easiest way to get big game meat too, which if cooked with the right herb gives you a gold health, stamina or deadeye core.
I don't mind the south setting it still feels. Western etc. I don't think I've robbed a bank yet though. I always have about 300$ lol.
Probably not then yeah... But you must be nearing that story mission for sure. No worries, that's the closest thing to a spoiler i make I know where your gang camp is! Only other thing i shared that could be seen as a spoiler is that there's actually desert in this game after all but that's no secret when its been released for so long and has a big online mode, so hope you didn't mind. It's hard to keep that secret! I think part of the fun in such an open world game is discovering it yourself. I mean i had no idea there were parts in it like Rhodes and st. Denis, which although not what i bargained for, was great to discover and explore anyway! Yeah, Rhodes still breathes more of a western vibe than Saint Denis of course: maybe you haven't visited the latter yet. I'll shut up about it then
How do you guys go about taking on a a camping gang? I can't go near them cause I die straight away. Also I think I need to use my dead eye way more often because I never do but do I sneak and start blasting? How do I get dynamite? I really feel like I need a grenade. So I greeted this stooge in a white coat and a gay fancy hat and he was rude to me. So I beat him, robbed him, beat him again. Beat him again. Lassoo him drag him up to a mountain and beat him until he didn't get up no more. Motherfucker. Also, the alligators are boring. Oh and I also got in trouble for kicking a dog to death cause it attacked me. Then I had to shoot the peasant who saw me. Lol.
Deadeye indeed Or else from cover. Could even be close up, as long as you don't let them surround you. And the obvious but just sayin: don't take them up when you're half dead already or with empty cores or circles ( the 'bars' around the cores ). If you keep that all good and you use deadeye any such enemy camp should be easypeesy! I often have most of them dead with one use of deadeye (so in like 5 seconds) :-D I think you buy the dynamite at the fence. There's one just above Rhodes and one at the emerald ranch
If you get in close up shootouts often make sure you use a shotgun, preferably one that doesn't have to reload after 2 shots. I'm also a big fan of the bolt action rifle In online mode it saved me multiple times. Some other doofus starts it by shooting but not killing me and i finish it
I have the Springfield and one of the hunting rifles with a scope. There is a point though isn't there where I I am at a long enough distance I can shoot the people in camp and they won't really come out looking for me? Because I've done that a couple of times but it seems to be hit or miss whether they come looking or not. Tonight was a camp I saw the smoke so I snuck up and it seemed to be a group of disgruntled confederate soldiers talking about the good old days and I only saw 4 so I thought easy as. Fired first shot and like 10 guys were there. Welp. Also can I tie someone up and put in front of an alligator and see them get eaten?
yeah, cover is important and deadeye is crucial. you should definitely get into the habit of using that. i think by the end of the game, i use it on pretty much every shot unless my gauge is empty. it's great for hunting too, especially if you're going for perfect pelts. i think you must get dynamite through a story mission at some point, because i remember having some and i never bought any. but yeah, once you get it there i think the fence starts selling it.
I played my first Leisure Suite Larry game. It had the kind of humor I would think was adult when I was 12. They say the game is for adults I think it's more like it's for middle school kids who want to feel cool.
Dead eye is then blue vision isn't it where I hit both my analog sticks and like the vision where you track animals? Because I remember dead eye used to like, aim for me and put X on the targets and I could shoot really quick but I couldn't do that last night so maybe I'm not using it right. I also learned to use the binoculars rather than the scope cause I was on a hut checking out this camp fire and some old angry black fella started giving me shit for having my gun. At first I wasn't sure he was talking to me until he started shooting. Arthur groaned something like ffs. I put him down with a sniper bullet to the chest. He didn't have anything good at his camp either. But he totally started it, I mean I was gonna do it anyway but he fired first.
that's eagle eye. dead eye is just R3 (i think, i would have to pick up a controller to be 100% sure). although i have accidentally gone into dead eye while trying to do eagle eye, and gotten pissed off at the waste of my dead eye gauge. in the early levels it does that annoying Xs thing. at some point it upgrades to where you can actually shoot directly while in dead eye and those useless Xs go away unless you intentionally put them there with R1 or something like that. i rarely use it before that upgrade though.
I looked at their website at gamestop for the switch lite. It looks ok, but I don't think there are that many games. They're geared more toward a youthful audience, which is good but I don't know how into it I'd be. A lot of the games rely on your nostalgia for the Nintendo brand, but they do offer new material; it's not like they're not capable of delivering they just know where the money is. I think I would like the Mario Kart one and Donkey Kong.
