generals was a great game loved the whole series espcially red alert 2 but I also played a spot of renegade if you remember that was a bit weird playing that one but very cool.
I'm a huge fan of the C&C series. There are actually quite a few remakes of Renegade, spanning the original series (Renegade X), Red Alert (A Path Beyond) and Tiberian Sun (TS: Reborn). My favorite is the TS remake, but Renegade X has some pretty neat graphical improvements. I've downloaded a few mods for Generals. Vietnam: Glory Obscured, Rise of the Reds, Blitzkrieg II. They all look pretty good, but VGO stands out to me as it focuses more on infantry combat and the game mechanics have been modified. All of these mods can be found on http://www.moddb.com
I am currently playing The Witcher 3. I have played around 50 hours already and I feel I have barely even scratched the surface of this game. I know others here must be playing this game too, time to fess up! lol
Oh my bejeezus I'm playing so many different games right now. I'm quickly becoming a game hoarder... especially with the recent summer sales going on at GOG and on Steam. Let's see if I can list all the good ones... I've got: World In Conflict (REALLY good. Lenini got me hooked on that one.) Shadowrun Returns and Dragonfall Unepic Half-Life 1 and 2 (plus all expansions) Portal 1 and 2 Banished (Also REALLY good. City building, resource managment game.) Torchlight 1 and 2 Two Worlds Epic Edition (free on DLH.net) Enclave (also free on DLH.net) Realms of the Haunting (previous giveaway) Age of Empires 3 NecroVision + Expansion (Really good Doom-like action game. Fairly cheap too) Why can't I just play them all at one time??
I'd like to see if the Sims 3 works on my decade old laptop. It's always a gamble buying heavily 3D games with the rig I have. Trying to level out the settings for Elder Scrolls: Oblivion to get it working. No luck yet lol Hooked on Shadowrun Returns and World In Conflict atm tho.
Most of the sims three runs off off a dvd, so I'd like to hope it would be able to run on both of our machines? I never had a problem with it running in the past, however it has been years since I've played it.
My graphics card just sucks. Gotta turn off shadows and antialiasing (and any other performance-heavy effects) for any 3D game to run decently, and it's still a gamble whether it will or not. Plus my 2.1 dual core processor... pretty slow. BUT! It's still running after 8 years of use! Can't complain about that You know there's a few tricks you can use to make it run without a CD/DVD? Usually makes it run faster too since it loads files from the hard drive rather than reading from the DVD itself.
I know what you mean I love the steam sales i brought a great zombie based survival game called 7 days to die its an early access but they put in lots of effort its sort of like minecraft but is tons better with better graphics and better way to craft thing plus zombies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHzN7R2YZW8&index=8&list=PLvDeH9y3XxavcGwlPX2JUrZ6mLdkWKTTf
I'm really diggin the new Shadorun series right now. It's like reading a good book with all the dialogue they put into the game. Though, a lot of the dialogue has spelling errors I LOVE how they stayed true to the Sega Genesis storyline. I believe Shadowrun originated as a board game similar to D&D... anyways, it's great if you like tactical strategy games (like XCOM) with heavy RPG elements. I'm just getting to the good part of the story
