There's so many mods for NASCAR 2003. You can race stock cars, sprint cars, late models, dirt late models, prototypes, indycar, Formula 1, trucks, minis, rally etc etc. and heaps more like 1960s/70s style stock cars etc. it's such a fun game and realistic and IRacing doesn't like where it's headed lol.
Sounds like the Unreal Tournament of the racing world! I think I might actually have that game on PS2. Probably be pretty difficult to mod on console. I wouldn't rule it out as impossible tho
The NASCAR game? It was only released for PC. =[ Such a classic though, no one has come close to authentic oval racing, not in the 13 years since release. Honestly, any company that even tries is laughed at relentlessly by sim racing community hehe.
I can't stand racing at Loudon. I don't get the track. It's a one mile low banked oval so it's hard to get off the corner. Though I used all the skills I've recently learned in my Late Model ambitions to help dial in my setup for this track. Now notoriously over the years, I was a mid placed car on speed that didn't fall off on tyres when they wore out. So it took me 40 laps, but then I'd start to get them back. I put my car on Pole Position for the next race! I'm just hoping for a top 10. A top 10 would feel like a win at this track for me.
I think like most racing games you can set your race distance. Increments of 5% so could take 10mins or 3 hours. I do the full race but I pause and walk away etc. in sim racing you're in control 100% of the time so under yellows you still have to putt around slowly hehe. And that's when I usually go do something else then come back. But ive sat and finished whole races in sittings before. The time really flies by. with the late models though it's only 45min races or so which I find easier to deal with. I am thinking of getting into IRacing but I've never enjoyed racing online. No one can drive. and driving backwards wrecking the field is fun the first few times. What's actually more fun is being able to compete though.
n3v (or whoever owns it now. was auran previously and i forget who before that) ts-2012 (finaly 'broke down' and bought something (p/raspberry sound)). purchase by digital download if you've got a crappy connection is a crappy idea. (whatever the hell got into me to not pay for a physical disk and have it physically snail mailed of fed exed to me) (and no, the local game stores don't carry the sorts of things i'm interested in, all the have is mortal combat and dead pool and all that kind of crap) so yah, there i go wasting the time i should be creating things myself, and putting them in side some kind of game engine myself, instead playing with making little train dominanted worlds i can never actually share with anyone not having the same simulation system. not that i really care too much about that. well i do a little. wish it were easier to move assets back and forth between what i create with and what i play with. i know why. people would load down their games with high poly assets and then bitch because their games ran too slow. i understand that. and dam, game engines, the good ones, ARE an helatious learning curve, that i keep doing anything else but beating my head against to actually learn anything. well that's what i play. train sims. because world building. because worlds to enjoy living and creating in. now if only there were a free socialist second life with trains instead of cars and all the avatars were furry aliens.
I am total into that retro feeling I must admit, therefore I am playing the Old super Mario game - yeahy Yoshi rulez so much, makes that much fun!
Carmageddon ftw! I'm back to messing with Commander Genius and Dark Places. (Commander Keen and Quake I source ports) I love eat!
was playing night stalker and the power went out for less than a second, so i gave up on it. then played snafu and that got me in the mood to go back and play another game of night stalker.
yoshi wasn't really in the old super mario game. he was in an old super mario game, but i feel like if you're going to call it "the" old game, then it must be the oldest. back when it was just mario, luigi, and a bunch of mushroom guys held captive in various castles.
Or before that when it was Mario and (Donkey) Kong together in their own game! Yeah, Peach was there too, but she was always busy playing hard to get.
Super into The Witcher 3 right now. I bought the first two games after playing 3 for maybe a day or two. And the books are en route as I type. Other games I have been playing in the last year or so are (in order of most play time to least): The Sims 3 GTA Vice City Morrowind (fave game of all time) Oblivion The Binding of Isaac Party Hard American McGee's Alice Fallout 3 Goat Simulator Saints Row 3, 4, & Gat Out of Hell Deadpool and various throwback GBA games like a bunch of Castlevanias, Zeldas, Kirbys, Spyros, and Donkey Kong Country 2 & 3 I'm really looking forward to Cuphead. Anyone here heard about it or see the gameplay footage from April? Looks STUNNING and so wonderfuly unique. I can't wait.
I took notice of Goat simulator but doubt it was worth aqcuiring it :-D What makes you coming back to it? Pot?
We have a winner! It started out as just mindless hilarity, but when I'm stoned, it's such a great stress reliever. It's hilarious and there's no frustration unlike some other games / particularly tough missions After a long, hard week at work, sometimes I just need to toke up and catapult a goat 200 feet into the air while dragging people around with an obscenely long goat tongue.
Batman Arkam Knight I am not a big comic book fan but it was on sale on PSN and it's really fun. Kind of like Grand Theft Auto where you have a bunch of missions to do and you can drive around the city as you wish. I recognize some of the more known villains like Cat women but I am fighting a lot I have never heard of. I can also change the bat suite I wear so I am running around in the 1960's tv show one since I remember those reruns on TV when I was a kid.
Well after a long arduous 3hrs and 13minutes, I passed Jeff Gordon down the front stretch to take 3rd in the Brickyard 400. I did this over two days. I'd like to say I parked it in third, but honestly, I backed off after the line and cut down on the #2 and sent me into the wall and into the catch fencing. Luckily anything that happens after a race doesn't matter lol. I've worked out though that it's been two months since I last won a Sprint Cup race in this sim. Nevertheless, I slip on the dirt gloves again as my Late Model Speedway Series heads to Knoxville for the inaugural running of the LMSS 125 lap Supersprint and 250 lap feature including a host of second and third tier Late Model series. Should be the first time Knoxville hosts a Late Model exclusive race weekend.
