Ha! I just read something about Ratchet and Clank the other day. Apparently there's a movie coming out too. And the new game got very good reviews indeed! I never played it though.

I lately mostly immersed myself in revolutionary Paris (AC Unity), love all the details on the street :) Really brings it alive. And of course all the interiors (I always said this series' settings would be so much more awesome if you could enter more houses instead of only climbing over them!), there's lower class interiors, upper class interiors, working place interiors and it is just fun that you can enter them at will while moving through the city. Also how the people in there are busy with their every day activities like washing clothes, writing at their desks etc. love all these details! Very well done.

And had some racing fun in Need for Speed rivals. Clearly not the greatest racing game and not sure how long the fun lasts but so far it is entertaining.

I would like it if the movie turns out to be good, but it seems that the early word is it's not that good :( The game is great though, I wish these kind of games were made more often.

I still have a ps3 and refuse to buy a ps4 because of the way sony is exploiting us. It's like Tom Petty sings in one of his songs, "They want to see how much we'll pay for what we used to get for free." Anyway I never played Ratchet and Clank but am planning to check out the older ps3 R&C games. I just started playing FUSE and am having a lot of fun with this game. It has a lot of co-op on line action and EA does know how to put a good game together.

    I guess that's the advantage of never having a playstation before :D: I don't feel exploited :p

About a thing like the online option being free on the ps3 and not on the ps4: it's a service you can expect to work even better when everybody pays for it ;) Bigger online games with more players and options and better graphics all demand more of the online service.
About the games themselves: well you're the player/buyer. If you have some discipline you won't buy anything you don't want to :) If nobody would buy stuff that used to be for free (out of principle, to send of a critical signal) the seller has to adjust.

Playing video games, in my opinion, is more addicting than using drugs and sony is using this addiction to make more money. You say this is the nature of the economy, That's true. And it's for this very reason that so many people are suffering economically. Discipline is the key word here. Attachment is pain.

Someone gave my thread here a measly 2 stars! Could've at least rounded it off to three... 2 seems so negative.

Nope! I'm playing Morrowind OCD style. Sticking ONLY to the main quest until it's finished. I want to get the main plotline in my virtual journal before taking on any of the side quests. Why? No reason. It's a goose egg. Probably one that is destined never to hatch.

(I stopped playing again like 2 months ago)

Thumbs up for Ratchet and Clank! I didn't know they came out with a new one. I'm playing the original R&C on PS2 right now. Scored a PS2 with the network adapter at Goodwill for $10. Snagged a bunch of games thanks to a buddy of mine. Thoroughly enjoying my trip back through time :D

There's actually a Ratchet and Clank collection for PS3. There's one game to avoid though. It's not really bad, but it's based on multiplayer. Some sort of RTS-like game. It is fun playing single player but gets old and repetitive really fast. I can't wait to finish R&C so I can move on to the other sequels on PS2!

    Currently playing:

    (PS2)
    Ratchet & Clank
Theme Park Roller Coaster (actually a really good casual game! Few broken mechanics though as a long-time fan of strategy/tycoon games; they can be overseen)
Mark Davis Pro Bass Challenge (by Natsume! Makers of Harvest Moon. Sort of an arcade fishing game)
Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2008 (SUCKS, but the only 3rd person hunting game I know of other than African Safari)

    (PC)
    The Escapists
The Settlers 3!! (Soon moving on to Settlers 4)
    Beyond Good and Evil
    Revenant
    Painkiller Black

Can you tell I have ADHD?

Just bought & subsequently returned Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 for Xbox One. You have to have an internet connection! Ugh! I don't have one. I have to take the whole system over to my parents where there is internet to get the latest update for Xbox One to even install the game. Well it finally installed after not 1 but 3 updates! So I assumed it was safe to take home and play. Got my system back home and found out that it has to be online to save your game progress. BS! Outrageous! Anyway I don't have the internet at my apartment. It was going to be stuck on one level because I wouldn't be able to save my progress. Thankfully I had purchased a previously owned copy of the game from the local GameStop, which they will graciously accept a return on if it's within 7 days. So I got my money back, but no Tony Hawk. :(

I was really hoping that my NTSC version of Secret of Evermore would have come in the mail by now. I bought it a week ago on eBay. =[

Have you seen any of the translated or modded games on Etsy?? There is some amazing gaming stuff on there. The translated games come with customized vintage packaging, translated game manuals, etc. Pretty neat! And a few people sell customized consoles that are pretty fricken cool.

Are you talking playing video games in general or mainly a particular kind of gaming? It has always appeared to me that it is mainly online multiplayer that is addictive, or perhaps other kind of games too where it is about improving the stats/skills or setting new records. I'm mainly into adventures/rpg, games with a storyline or intriguing setting and although I can be lost for hours in a good one at a time (esp. a new one or when you get to a new part that really intrigues the hell out of you) I can't say those are more addicting than a good book. I like attachments to good books (the most pain is when you finish one and don't know what to read next that is at least equally great) :p :)

Did you buy it from the USA, and are they using Ebay's Global Shipping program? If they are then I am sorry to tell you that you'll be waiting a lot longer. Whenever I purchase an item, and the buyer uses this program it takes at least 3X longer :bigcry:

Hi Asmo, I'm into the same kinds of games as you are, but I do like to play online. After awhile I do get addicted to the intensity of playing with real people but I always play co-op because I don't think it's right to fight and kill avatars who are being run by people. If you have a ps3 we could play on line and I'll show you what I mean, lol

No, it's coming from England. Probably on a boat or something. Expected 21-27 April. Let's say it's the 24th now. I should be getting it early week. :)

So these are new games that have been created? Or like, a re-release?

Never owned a playstation before my ps4 :p I do have an xbox360 but I only went online with it for one month (because I got it for free :p). I do plan on getting into a bit of multiplay on the ps4 though! Probably battlefront and maybe a good racing game.

Rogue Galaxy has been my game lately. A classic PS2 game they resell you on the PS4. It's so frustrating you can run emulation software easily on a PC and do this for free but Sony doesn't like that so you have to pay.

I beat the Last of Us on the most extreme difficulty setting. That consumed too much of my time. I get addicted to games like that too easily.

Ah sorry, I assumed because you said it was NTSC it was coming from North America. I don't think you guys got Secret of Evermore in the PAL market? I know many good games were not released in PAL, especially RPGs. You guys got Terranigma though, I want to get a boxed copy of that sometime, even if it's PAL.
