I can be very critical about an scifi, futuristic or alternative history setting as well so i can relate to how irmi feels. Sometimes a setting can look beautiful and worked out really nice but when the atmosphere/culture or other major details of the setting annoys you or just puts you off, yeah it can be a major cause of losing interest in the game... or tv series as well for that matter. Loved the intro of fallout4 myself and how they lived in that 'cosy' pseudo 50's. Didn't bother me. And it adds to the charm of the car wrecks, gas stations and well overall remnants. Bioshocks settings are awesome too, but they're easier to go along with because its just plain surrealistic (unless of course one doesn't dig surrealism in a game) :-D
I found my German shepherd. Do you get to name him after a while? my character is Falcor and I'd like dog to be Atreyú.
What N64 emulator do you use. I haven't had any issues with the one I have, the only thing is there are a few specific games I can't run. For example Star Wars Rogue Squadron, I have downloaded several different roms of this game and none work properly. Which is a damn shame, I love this game, thankfully I do have the cartridge if I ever want to play it.
now that it's been mentioned, it does seem a little strange that you can't name your own dog. i understand a lot of the characters come with their own names, as they're people or someone else's pet or a robot with a personality, but when you find a random dog in the wasteland how the hell do you know that he's named dogmeat other than the fact that every friendly stray in the history of the wasteland has that name?
Well when you meet the minutemen with that blind lady she will tell you the dog is really it's own character, not a pet (and i think she also tells you his name and that it's not really a random dog). You can't own him literally. But i agree he acts like he's really YOUR dog when he's your companion. Didn't know Dogmeat was a common name for stray dogs though..
dogmeat was a companion in fallout 1, 2 and 3. i don't know how you acquire him in 1 or 2, but in 3 he is found wandering alone in a junkyard. i just assumed he always appeared as a stray.
Don't remember for n64, it was a long time ago. I just remember certain places had the wrong background/texture or you could see through stuff that should be solid in banjo kazooie and that it was pretty tough to play without an n64 controller. I was using an xbox360 controller.
Psn 2? Whats that? Original or rerelease for next (well current) gen? I played it on the 360, good game. Excellent atmosphere and setting.
I finished my stock car sim championship off yesterday. With an unimpressed DNF and resulted 4th in the standings. Now I drive the #24. looking forward to next year.
If your lookin for a singleplayer/multiplayer survival game thats free than there is a game on steam called Unturned which is fun to play when your not sure what else to do.
Psn is the online package then I said .....2 week free trial. It wouldn't let me get the 2 week trial. It said I was already a member. But when I tried to play online it said I could get a 2 day free trial from EA. I feel ripped off. I think I will take a break from battlefront after that and finish infamous.
So you can't play it online even while you have psplus? Sorry if i misunderstand, i'm an online noob I got a 2 day free trial to play online with gta5.
I played online but the trial is over. I never got the 2 week trial because they wouldnt give it to me. So instead of buying it i will play my offline games first.
