What does your username mean?

I have found myself wondering this about a few users lately.

So, what does your username mean? And/or, why did you choose it?

 

I was being very un-creative when I chose it or maybe I just wanted attention. I wish I could change it now. I prefer anonymity at this point. When I rejoined I wanted to connect on this site with people who knew me the first time I joined.

 

it should be a rule in random thoughts that when posting a thread like this, you have to answer your own question!


porkstock was the first tiny music festival i went to, like 12 years ago or something. and 41 because i (used to?) like dave matthews band a lot, and the song #41 was one of my favorites.

 

Mama has been my nickname pretty much my entire life. It was also my raver name back in the day.

 

Irminsul is our Saxon artefact of worship. It is the great pillar that holds the universe from the world. It is the Yggdrasil of the Norse in representation though a lot older. One of the last known places she stood was on top of the Externsteine, a devoted place of worship by many pagans in Germany.

it was just a nickname that I had at the time of joining, and the number was the same in my email so I knew I'd remember it.

It's not that bad.
It's better than a lot of others and you have dreadlocks if I recall so it's like a short description. and you're metal that's about all I know of you so you're already alright in my books.

I've used this handle since around 2000. I have always been a fan of 60's psychedelic music, and was big into it around the time I started coming to Hipforums in 1999. My screen name comes from the Cream song 'Pressed Rat and Warthog', off their 1968 album Wheels of Fire. It features the spoken words of drummer Ginger Baker, and has long been one of my favorite songs by the group.
