Thanks Heather. fishies have been my one consistent hobby over the years.. I got bored with most everything else, but I can always get into fish keeping. As you can see, a lot of my enjoyment comes from designing and setting up my own DIY stuff. I'm always fiddling around and changing things up...... :dizzy2: you guys may notice that I have all new fish from the previous pics. I had a battle with parasites and lost. but gotta keep splashing along........ Irmi, thanks but I'm just using my phone camera, nothing fancy.
Noooo. I have a 3ft tropical. At the moment I have about 4 black widow tetras, 2 green tetras, 2 ugly catfish, 1x Red tail shark and she's the matriarch and we had her.. Almost 4 years or more now. A smaller red tail we call Thunder, Stürm is the matriarch. Our tetras are slowly dying off now and we had them as long as the shark so it's a good innings for them. We also have a plethora of trumpet snails that I can't control but they keep the tank clean so it's a win there. Pests though, sometimes I can get 20-30 a night when they're on the side glass. They just keep reproducing like mad and we can get a fish in there that eats them but it won't get along with my sharks.
After 15 years at fish keeping, I’d say something that suits your tap water! Is it hard or soft? That would be the easy option. but then, what fish do you like? Go with that option, but it could get tricky...... either way. It can develop into a lot of work and an equal amount of fun! my fish Keeping adventure, over the last 7-8 years. It’s all over now though. My Fishes & Fish House Build
