Just carrying on from the who's house would you like to visit, thought maybe we should see where we all live. So this the front of my place. New Ford Ranger right there in the carport. Enclosed carport, looks like a garage from the front but is completely open at the back. This from the back of the carport looking at our garage. It's basically my little hide away cave, and has a pool table and sound system inside. Carpet tiles and all tools etc. scattered around. I move everything into a place so that I can have 100% access to the table on any shot. Piece of grass I'm trying to encourage to grow. Hard with German Shepherd. Rabbits live to left. Notice my tall hedges giving us almost 100% security and privacy. There's only a very small portion that can be seen through and there's the back house garage covering it. Side view, pergola. Through the front door, dining room in front, lounge to the left and hallway to the right. Untidy in here at the moment, sorry. Lounge room. Dining area, kitchen etc. Reverse dining, where my fish tank lives. My games room arts area which is just a mess really. My Jeff Gordon collection. And the reverse. Up the hallway are toilet, bathroom and 3x bedrooms. One is a study. Master is our room, and a spare room too.
I'm pretty sure the underneath of our place looks like this too. except with a hundred can of bug spray I broke open and threw under there to kill spiders. Lol
No offense but that Jeff Gordon collection looks redneck as fuck. Looks like something you'd see in a house in West Virginia or South Carolina or something. Not the house of some European aryan girl.
PAH, houses in South Carolina WISH they were as redneck as my wall. I'm going to clean that area up soon it's a mess. With all the CDs and DVDs and everything on top of that cabinet. Anyone see the puzzle we got two years ago and never finished? it's a work in progress. And next to ICP action figures is a young girls head... Lol. Okay it's a mannequin. Oh lord my zebra underwear is on the air dryer too. There's definitely a couple things I'm looking at like, well only I'll see it... It'll be okay.
That's what I thought, looks more like something out of some urban sprawl in the US ....not somewhere in kranski land. I guess I was expecting her to live somewhere straight out of Hansel and Gretel, a big Gingerbread house with a woman in comfortable shoes chic twist
Like an old A frame style cottage? You have areas like that, or areas that all houses seem to have features. My suburb is in the newer areas though still old, but I think the term is "modern". The only thing in common we all have is double brick. Actually this place before we bought it didn't have a render it was sandy brick and looks soooo odd in old photos. I just can't imagine living in it with the original brickwork.
So... I'm like, supposed to get a camera out, fumble with batteries 'n shit just to post in this thread? ... Seriously?
I just snapped 'em on my phone and uploaded. but you've already shown us pictures of your place. I thought, well instead of just saying oh I wanna go to this persons house, may as well see what they all look like. I've read a lot over the years some folk talk about how good home is etc. now's the chance to put it up, or pure speculation.
Excellent thread, Irmi! I'll have to go outside and take a few pics. In the event I EVER were to get this house "viewable", I might post some inside pics. As it is, the only inside area I'd be willing to share right this minute is the piano. lol I LOVE your house, especially the Jeff Gordon collection! and those beautiful hardwood floors! _____________________________________________ and just for the record - Jeff Gordon is something Irmi and I have had in common from the beginning...and LOTS of folks stateside do NOT love Jeff! Only too often folks around here get their rocks off by hating on this handsome, smart, respectable, honorable driver!!! So, if Irmi had had almost any other driver's collection up there it would have been Red Neck Heaven...as it stands y'all are very wrong if you think Jeff is the "every southern red neck's racing hero". #teamJeffGordon4ever
if this shitty site (when it comes to photos) let me post the pics from my phone i would post a few. i dont mind getting my phone out and taking a few pics but then having to resize them all...maybe later.
Ugh, yeah "modern" There are all these high rise residential blocks popping up in Sydney They all look the same, all look ghastly. Either grey or biege render "Modern" certainly is not better
I like the grey render because it keeps the house very cool in summer plus my window tint makes a difference too. Is situated so the from of the house very barely sees any sun at all, only in the afternoons in summer. The historic traditional houses here were well out of my budget when I was looking plus I wanted to be away from everything too. Now I'm like a few short minutes drive and I'm away from everything and everyone. They do make modern houses to look traditional there's some unreal farm houses out there getting built and they all look quite traditional. I don't know if you've ever travelled to Europe? But I guess if you have an idea set in your head about how things are going to look and then it doesn't look that way at all, I understand the disappointment or let down. The hostel I work for is more what you're thinking though.
I own a 3 acre field that is infested with ticks and plants that I'm horribly allergic to. Sorry, no pics. I broke my camera in a violent sneezing fit.
I saw your puzzle table, Irmi! I love your Viking altar table thingy. I'd come hang out at your house anytime!
