So vary vague info given to accept any pure speculative answer given here. How was it brought up into what conversation? How did he say it? (In a passive way or a slow meaningful way)? Are you older and more accomplished than him? Have you done something commendable tgat he admires? Do you or him have a partner.
Could mean anything unless you give all the details.
