what does it mean to be open minded?

    Seems to me we had a thread on this some time ago, but I can't find it.

    So here's a quote or two.

    So after we look for truth from various points of view and accept the differences inherent, then with our open mind we are free to decide whether it's BS or worthy of further thought. Now we can start to decide if the person offering the idea is worthy of respect or not based upon our understanding of his idea, his presentation, his reaction to criticism, etc.
    All the while realizing that even though we can see the errors in the idea and our view is the correct one....it is possible that in fact we may be wrong after all.
