That's not viable when you went there with others, who sometimes silently don't support what you're doing and would be irritated if barefootedness caused problems with the store. For that, the modified shoes would work flawlessly.
And me! My crutches are more comfortable to walk on when there is no shirt rubbing my ribcage from the top of the crutches, and my bare foot makes me feel more secure especially on a wet or slippery surface.
This is what I wore as of this weekend.. http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/attachment.php?attachmentid=46646&d=1299444838 http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/attachment.php?attachmentid=46647&d=1299445112 http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/attachment.php?attachmentid=46648&d=1299445130 http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/attachment.php?attachmentid=46649&d=1299445147 http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/attachment.php?attachmentid=46650&d=1299445162 Please mind the darkness and my dirty feet.
It's too hot in Florida to go without shoes some days, so I have to wear sandals everywhere. I never ever wear shoes or socks in the house and I hate wearing tennis shoes and socks it makes my feet feel claustrophobic.
I gotta do that with my shoes, that'd solve many a problem (got kicked out of a library because of no shoes ). Plus, I didn't know there was a title to not wearing shoes, so I guess I'm a barefooter except in the Winter of course, 3 below is murder on the skin
Today's outfit was: black t-shirt with a Ganesha print on it, grey cargo pants, brown cotton hooded jacket... the top part was similar to my Sunday outfit, the bottom was quite different, since on mild days I prefer wearing skirts instead of pants (and going commando underneath the skirt, too... being barefoot to the waist). My barefoot Sunday best: Wiggling bare toes, ~*Ganesha*~
On Saturday, I wore something similar to the outfit depicted above: A different skirt, sarong-style, and another Ganesha-print t-shirt... That's also what I'll wear today, when going to the movies, which shows a movie about a girl living a barefoot life among natives in Papua New Guinea. Wiggling bare toes, ~*Ganesha*~
I did my rehabilitation pilates in the back yard wearing nothing but a sarong. Then, still barefoot, I fed the chickens, collected eggs, and cleaned out the hen house. I stepped in chicken poop once, but compared to dog or cat stuff that's just like stepping in a blessing. It was more hygenic for the hens because I wasn't tracking stuff from shoes all over their environment that could give them diseases from the rest of the city.
Wow...chicken poop as a barefoot fashion statement! I may try that! Here, chick chick chick....here, chick chick chick....
I work at a model home part time as a sales rep. I usually wear either dress pants and a cauall bouse or top or a casual skirt and top and of coarse I am usually barefoot. I had a customer comment the other day that it made the house feel "homier" that I was barefoot.
Funny coincidence - I did so yesterday and today as well, when enjoying sunny weather yesterday and a barefoot and skyclad breathing meditation today on my usual Sunday hour of power in the park (even though it was raining), having found a nice and secluded spot where no passers-by can spot me barefoot all over... stupid social conventions that bar us from being naturally skyclad anywhere, without shame. Oh, and I'm currently skyclad, too, as always at home. Wiggling bare toes, ~*Ganesha*~
