By the way people, for all of you whom are lazy, this is the name of a man. It's an Iraqi physician whom was in exile. He's been nominated to serve as Prime Minister in Iraq when June 30th rolls around.
We have had what, a year to come up with a name, and we choose some guy who has been in exhile for 30 years?
Doesn't Congress blame Allawi for having falsely verified the credentials of several defectors who missrepresented themselves before Congress as so called experts in Saddam's WMD programs. I also heard that Allawi has close ties to the CIA, and used those ties to help spread the idea that we would be greeted as great liberators by the Iraqi masses. Moreover, everyone seems to note the fact that he has little or no power base within Iraq itself. Also, the way he was chosen is controversial. The choice, according to Mr. Bush, was to be made by that UN delegation. Instead they were presented with Mr. Allawi as a 'fait accompli'. It all gets curiouser and curiouser.
