Ronald Taylor. if the motherfucker was going to kill himself anyways,, why are tax dollars being wasted on this slug.. now going on 15yrs. another local asshole getting free rent. this $$$$ motherfucker from mt lebenon pgh has his parents pay off manning.. This county /state is all about the money.. They could give a fuck less about victims rights. Id bet my left nut, Baumhammer is eating and sleeping better than anyone he victimized.
Back to never knowing...You are right....I cannot say what i will do in certain situations until I am there....and hope I never have to be there in this case.
Also, this would always be debatable, but I wish people who tortured animals could all leave this planet and go on a solitary confinement planet together....all together, so they would not really be solitary...They would have each other....but no other life there.
you murder someone by plan, you get death penalty. then cut 1/2 the drug charges in all federal prison. then you'll have mostly child molesters. they should be thrown in some active volcano somewhere on earth. So in the end, you'll have people who mostly stole cars and TV's, not to bad. Remember you always save hundreds on your taxes by switching to fuck these people!
Yes I eventually would. You'd be a naive bastard to think the legal system is correct every single time. Why do you think people like OJ Simpson still walk the street? No shit they aren't on death row any longer, because the activists pushed for a reinvestigation of the case. And found that they found they were innocent. But the only way the state would set them free is if they took an Alford plea, just so their political careers would be spared. Btw, you just contradicted yourself, numb nuts
My views have changed with time. I once thought I would never support the death penalty but now I think I might depending on the crime. There are those within our society that are simply wired wrong and they can not be rehabilitated. The victims have far less rights than those who are found guilty. Today with DNA there are very few wrongful convictions and there is an appeal process for the few that maintain innocence. If the criminal system were to be revised so that the victims also have rights and that those who are not able to function within the norms of our society ( eg murder is wrong) were never able to repeat the crime, then perhaps I would consider that a step in the right direction. There are some sentences which are extreme and yet some for very heinous crimes are not. The scales of justice seem to be rather unbalanced at best.
You can receive the death penalty for possessing (or manufacture of) the right amount of LSD in some states...it is a huge amount but still. Does someone really deserve to die for that. People get off with a relative slap on the wrist for things far worse and evil things. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment_for_drug_trafficking
^It's crazy the "values" some people have and what they consider to be moral...some people are straight up 730 yo!
I'd like to think that if a system worked correctly the death penalty could be used only in very extreme cases that fit certain criteria. Some examples of such criteria would be-well, it would, first of all, have to be proven beyond all doubt more than once with either videos, DNA, or some array of forensic, never just circumstantial evidence... Also it would have to be an extremely heinous crime- such as a serial killer...who is also deemed to still be a danger-who would easily do the same thing over again. However, I do not believe there is a fair and just system in place to do this. I believe it would be abused just like it is now.... therefore I am against the death penalty.
I think that a couple of our HF regulars could survive (and enjoy) it a couple mgs midazolam and 5mg hydromorphone? I doubt that would kill TopNotchStoner.
I am truly amazed that so many people here are ready to give the state the right to kill another human being. I know America is very conservative compared to lots of other places, but even on a site like this so many people think that murder is okay kinda surprises me. Over in Europe most people would say that gladly we left this kind of barbaric behaviour in the middle ages.
Agreed, some of the things people have said on this thread and the language used has me worried. I am all for just punishment of crimes, and that people that are unable to function in society without hurting others should be removed and be somewhere they are unable to access others. But seriously people (SOME of you) - you don't want the state to have access to your emails, you don't want them to stop your right to bear arms, you resent the level of control the state has over your society...yet you support their right to kill people?????
I think it's just that people here have strong feelings when it comes to thinking of friends and family becoming victims of a criminal - which is natural. In America we are bombarded by news of criminals and victims daily. Even considering my friends and family, and how mad and sad I would be if they were to fall victim to a criminal for any crime, I just don't see how killing someone else could fix things. I'm still not saying the death penalty is right or wrong. It is what it is. Things don't happen for a reason - things just happen (that's what I believe). If the death penalty continues, so be it. I understand why some support it - But I won't.
Once again its in court and a judge can legally give a search warrent if enough evidence is there. (I will agree that the courts have way too much power but it is what it is) As for the gun part..well hell yeah we want them, its to protect ourselves from the criminals we are talking about in this thread.
Really you could find an innocent person on death row? Then what the fuck are you doing on this form if you care so much about their lives. Go save those innocent murderers. I never read the article i was joking when i said that because of when the case was. The death penalty as pointed out here is a contradiction dick wad.
:banghead: I have always liked your posts, but god dude, with that post all I can hope is that is never up to you to hand out the death penalty.
its easier to walk into a mcdonald with a machine pistol, than to manufacture something that cost a 100grand to make. btw it cost about 100grand to make sure death row inmate have toilet paper to wipe their ass every year. funny thing. they dont need to run out into a snow and ice storm to get it. they dont have to go anywhere to get anything.
