What do you think about Sid Vicious or Darby Crash?

I think both were revolutionary in Punk Rock, but both were terrible musicians.

 

Musical skill was not needed in punk. In way the lack of it was a underground statement. That top 40 crap on the radio takes practice. We just gather in the garage and bang the chords. What is the point life is shit anyway?

They had the look and attitude.

 

I think Darby was a skilled lyricist, so I'm not sure he qualifies as a terrible musician, even if what he did couldn't really be considered singing. More like snarling and growling.

Neither of them ever really had a chance to grow up.

 

i'm aware of the first name but never paid much attention to him. the second, as far as i know, i'm not familiar with at all.

 

Crash committed suicide, no heroworship for morons that do that.

 

Sid Vicious aka Sid Justice, aka Psycho Sid was a great wrestle. Played an excellent villain.

I was born the exact same day Darby died. Then later on in life I became a punk rocker. How ironic is that, right? Darby was the singer for the Germs, by the by.
