when i was a lot younger i might have noticed.
if i were buying four wheels and a motor it would be electric and shaped like a tradesman's van and long enough in the back to stretch out and go to sleep.

Very nice! It must be their luxury line.

I have been in the market for cars recently; my girlfriend and I are shopping. Initially, I said Hyundai or Kia are a good buy, but we've decided to save up and go for a Toyota Camry.

That's a nice Hyundai... they've made remarkable improvements in their cars since the 1980s when my sister bought one. The driver door fell off after a few hundred miles so she got rid of it.

The Toyota Camry is about the safest old people passenger car out there. We drove one for many years, it was economical (never broke down or needed repairs). But that being said, as I get older I find it almost impossible to get into a regular height passenger car. Especially behind the wheel. I now drive a Toyota RAV4 as it is much easier to get in and out of, and being a bit higher has increased visibility out the windows. It is also essential for living on dirt roads as I do these days. The seats actually fold down and make two beds! But I have not used that feature.

That commercial @Grandeur posted is rather sexy however...

Actually that old Camry is still alive with over 300,000 miles on it. We gifted it to a friend in need.

if i were rich i'd buy the camper version of unimog. lol. don't know if they even still exist but i would imagin they do.
i know there are some electric versions of delivery vans, i'd love one of those, or if nissan/datsun still makes something like its e-10 van.

In Turkey, Hyundai has a terrible prestige and since Genesis cars are known to be made by Hyundai, no one would buy.

Hyundai does not even bring Sonata to Turkey because it is too expensive for a Hyundai. Therefore Hyundai could not sell Sonata in Turkey (Hyundai tried in the past and saw it)

Hyundai's highest sedan car in Turkey has been Elantra since 2011 .And most sold car by Hyundai is Accent.

My son has a Hyundai Elantra.

At about 30,000 miles the engine developed a knock and had to be replaced, metal filings in the oil.
Then he got it back and it leaked oil all over the place.
Turns out both front and rear crankshaft seals were leaking ...on a new engine!

Don't think I'll ever buy one.

My sister bought an older model Hyundai as her first car... what a piece of crap. The engine literally died and crapped out within 15,000 miles, the same day she found she could no longer open the drivers' door. Cost her a pretty penny to replace that bomb.

My old VW, managed 285,000 miles on it's original clutch driving in London. Other than brake pads and one set of discs, other than oil and filters, the only replacement parts were a camshaft belt and an alternator. Perhaps looking after it myself was part of the reason.

Our latest VW returned 76mpg on a recent trip.

I am super happy with my Toyota RAV4 2003 model. 178,000 miles and going strong. Conquered the highways of Baja California with ease. I removed the back seats to bring her down here, there is a lot of space inside there for such a small car. But it sits high, has good ground clearance and a zippy drivetrain. Even though an automatic she has plenty of power.

Only beef is the peeling paint from the blistering sun. I may get her painted before driving back north. Maybe not, got a quote for $1,800 USD for the whole car, here in Mexico... they saw a gringo. I said no way!
