Cemetery floral arrangements.

 

a book shelf i built myself from boards that had been the shelves of an old library that were left over when the library where i lived moved into a then new one (something long over due for them to do at that time)
its sturdily constructed with those metal joist corners and black iron sheetrock screws and firmly but removably attached to the desk itself with them. it is over the top of where my monitor sits.
on it, as you might well imagine, are much of my collection of reference books, back up cd's, and a few odd stray electronic components, and the occasional odd flotsum. it also has some screws as pegs, sticking out of the sides of it, on which are hung other oddments.

 

That actually sounds like something I would LOVE with all my heart - that kind of sturdy shelving, right there above the monitor, built from material that was once a library's.
