I do agree scammers fuck things up, but the DEA doesn't help as well in most cases.

Drug dealing is too risky, I have other things that you would frown upon that I do to make money, but lets not get into that.

Switching to Vicodin was a personal choice, the APAP helps boost it a little. APAP helps block the pain where as Ibuprofen decreases inflamation. (Cool tip to those who might not know)

Sorry that my views are not like yours but you have to understand the world is full of different people.

That is odd. From what I have gathered from my doctor, and a couple other friends/relatives doctor's is that Ibuprofen actually gives opiates a "boost." My old doctor was indian and he would say "you take the motrin with the oxycodone, and it give it a punch!"

Most potentiators I have tried haven't really helped though, but I did notice a slight increase in effects when taking Ibuprofen with Oxycodone, not sure about Hydrocodone. I have extremely high blood pressure (normal is around 200/130, which is SUPER high for ANYONE, especially for someone my age) so I can't take Ibuprofen, as it raises blood pressure.

You don't have to have the same views as me, but it's really disrespectful to not give a shit about people who are real pain getting screwed out of medication because of all the people out there who are conning doctor's. It's people like that...that make it nearly impossible for people in legitimate pain to get adequate pain relief.

    EDIT:

does2 wasn't saying that you don't have Vicodin, he was saying if you are going to brag...then Vicodin isn't really the best choice to brag about. I think that is what he was getting at anyways.

I will just say that I am prescribed Oxycontin for long-acting, Roxicodone for short acting, Xanax, and Soma.

The last time I posted any information about what medications I get, I had 12 PM's asking me to "hook them up." So please, nobody try it.

It all goes back to the government. If they would mind there own business when it comes to what goes into peoples bodies, then there would be no problems like "Drug Wars" and doctors being scared to prescribe what is needed to whomever.

Your comments do nothing to help this thread. Go find something to do besides call people out for lying then end up looking like a fucking moron.

I blame patients as well. A lot of doctor's are scared to prescribe stronger narcotics because of the people who go home and abuse their medication and overdose. Then the doctor gets blamed. It's not the doctor's fault, and to blame it on them is really ignorant.

Very true as well. Personally, I take them as needed. Reading the forums I notice people swallowing 80MG Oxys for fun, it blows my mind. Being a drug user for over 10 years, I have seen some crazy stuff - but myself I enjoy using on occasion and in moderation.

Hell, we only live once. Why should we deprive ourselves of a few vices. I don't go around telling people to stop smoking and drinking alcohol just because I think it's bad for you.

Anyway, I am glad you have some good input in this, not many people do as you can see a few posts back.

I saw advertisements for that Abilify, how well does it work, can you really tell a huge difference between taking the anti-depressant alone, and the combination of the two?

I thought that you made a thread about your mother taking away your pain medications? You didn't mention the Lortab...she didn't take those away?

Did you ever get a chance to talk to her, and get your meds back?

    Wow triple post, sorry guys.

How does the Lamictol work for you? I have a friend that has some random mood swings and she has tried Lexapro with no luck.

i posted before that i thought abilify was kind of shitty on its own, so i switched to lamictol or however you spell it i really don't know and i don't feel like going to look, and that works well but it makes me feel really.. like just plain and nothing, so my doctor decided to try me on both and i don't feel 'abso-fan-fucking-tastic', but i have been feeling pretty good lately.

the trazodone is also an anti-depressant, but taken in a low dose such as 50 mg doesn't really do much for me (this is from when i wasn't taking any meds at all except for trazodone and the nexium) and it really didn't make any difference at all in my moods, but it works really well at keeping me asleep at night.

i dont' know if the trazodone is effected/affected? with the abilify and lamictol, since i've been taking the trazodone for years.

i've taken loads of antidepressants, i've taken cymbalta, trileptol?, welbutrion, lexapro, wel./lex. mix, lithium, depakote, prozac, and all this shit that i can't spell for my life and what i've gotten best results with is the abilify/lamictol mix (with trazodone)

however, it would be tough for someone who doesn't have insurence or only has like a co-pay insurence, because the abilify runs for like 430 something i think per month and the lamictol runs well over 100 dollars a month, for supposingly being a relatively 'old' drug.

the trazodone is 13 bucks a month though.

The lortabs are the hydrocodone 5mgs. I had just said the generic names in the earlier posts.

I've talked with her and she is still holding onto them but she has given me higher dosages to help with my pain and has shown me my meds so I know that shes not taking them for herself.

You can call me a pussy if you want for not pursuing it more, but I want to make sure I still get my meds and me arguing with her about it and calling the cops on her isnt gonna help the situation too much.

I am not calling you a pussy. I am sorry that thread got that heated. I was putting myself in your shoes...because of how hard I had to fight to finally get my pain managed, and to think of someone keeping them from me and keeping me in pain, just really frustrated me. Especially at your age...I just felt like it was a really fucked up thing to do.

It's up to you to decide what to do, but either way I didn't lose respect for you, sorry it came off that way.

Its all good. She isnt really keeping my in pain. Most of the time she does give me my medication and if I need a double dose, she'll give it to me. The only times she really doesn't like to give them to me is if I've had a few beers because I am on antibiotics as well and she wants to make sure the meds work properly and I dont get into any danger by mixing narcotics and alcohol.
