What Do You Hanker For?

the history that interests me is the history of ordinary people before everything that historians consider important.
indiginous cultures and developments before being lost and stolen by modern nations.

what was going on right where ever i happen to be,
along with, also you know, like the same kind of thing everywhere on the planet or any world in any solar system.
what someone saw if they sat on that nice rock over there a thousand or more years ago.
what little critters may have come by, what they could have built with the knowledge and materials they had at hand.

i'm not interested in all the battles or who gave what speech, even if that were hundreds or even thousands of years ago too.

its the history you're not taught, because it doesn't agrandize anyone's political ego to teach it.
THAT history does interest me.

but the kind of 'history' were taught, its all ideological propiganda. i'm sorry but that's really what turned me off to it when i was in school,
all the terrible things that lurk behind what we're told to celebrate when we take the effort to logically parse any of it.

so you know, the celts and picts, interest me, and the tuath de, but not rome and its empire.
where i am, the miwak and maidu and the numa, the peublo and the nezca lines,
though i'm no font of knowledge, just people who'se decendents i went to school with and worked along besides.

and the trails that small creatures have made and humans have widened by continually using for centuries since.

hmmm hot tub on a trailer pulled by a tractor
or maybe just the tractor and a place to do things with it.
a nice long soak in any kind of a tub sounds pretty good to me too,
doesn't have to be with company.
i'm tempted to rent a room in a nice hotel for one night, just to soak in the tub for hours.
probably wont happen any time soon, but i think about a lot of things.

wish i could teleport, and all my favorite places, i wish they could get those fires out.
just a nice quiet walk by myself in the woods.
