What do you find the purpose of the bible to be?

    to encourage people to want to avoid causing harm. that is why every scripture of every religion was written. out of desperation to reduce or control bullying.
    unfortunately they were also written by humans with egos, making their intention easily stood on its head, and interpreted as encouragement to hate logic.

    yet the first principal of all first principals, whatever men or gods might come up with, is that goodness and the desire to be feared, remain absolute binary opposites,
    whatever is believed or isn't.
