I generally turn the central heating up to a level somewhere between intolerable and uncomfortably_ungreen_of_me and then break out the wine I had saved for chrimbo then I go outside in the snow and rain wishing to hell it were summer and defrost the car windscreen - then I go to work for 5 days - wish I could be in the tropics and get another bottle of chablis mouton cadet from the shelf. I then make sure the bed is nice and warm sleep for as long as I can and then wake up and cook some food Then I make photos of winter scenes and wish it were summer
definetly go snowboarding and be all comfy in layers and layers of clothes. oooo and the rain, i love it.
I like to go snowshoeing. I especially like to fall down in the snow with snow shoes on. It's quite a challenge getting back up. I also like to try and run in them, it's fricken hiliarous, but then the dog starts chasing me, and usually I end up being injured. I can't wait till winter, I love to drive down the road and see all the trees capped in fresh falling snow. It's so fucking beautiful, actually it's probably the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
You guys are really making me sad that I live in an area that doesn't see much snow. I would love to be back up north again, where it's always white and pristine.
I live in Southern California. I do the same thing as I do in the winter; gather eggs, juice grapefruits from the tree, harvest vegetables and herbs from outside and put on #30 sunscreen.
Ha ! perhaps there is one good outcome to global warming ! All these Skiers that fly round the world to the best ski resorts will now not be putting so much aircraft fuel into the atmosphere A lot of Europs ski resorts predict they will not have enough snow for skiing within 5 to 8 years
I like to go skiing. get relly high on the chair lift and just cruise on down the slopes, it's amazing! i like to play in the snow of course( who doesn't ?! lol) me and my brother built some wicked snow forts when we were younger.
I save bits of wood, shells, beads, etc. to work with during the winter. I also walk barefoot in the snow if I'm really bored. =D
gain weight, get depressed cuz i never see the light anymore except for a few hours out the window at school, play in the snow sometimes, pray for snowdays, shovel snow, ya winter isnt too much fun
I loathe driving in snow, so I walk to work consistently in winter. I like it a lot. I also will use more forms of public transport, and go farther, because the neighborhood can get same-old same-old so fast. This year, i'm taking a couple days nordic skiing (at an area reachable by buses) and usung the shut in time to completely gut and organize the house. My son will spend a month here in January-Feb., so hopefully I can get him jazzed about some snow activities. My guess is he will hang at the library coffee shop doing his lessons for online school, and maybe score a job there.
i am in school so i mostly do that and party and play guitar and anyways it doesnt get to cold here in the winter ... but i have been to eastern europe in the winter and woah i have no idea how they handle it!!
