I have Loads of Coins From all over the world I didnt collect them as much as I " ended up" with them
I collect beach glass and heart shaped rocks. I also like to own books that I've read and enjoyed. One day, I want a room full of my favorite books. I have a pretty solid DVD collection, but don't add to it as much as I used to, as it's harder to find good DVD's these days. I also love collecting concert t-shirts, but they are often so fucking expensive that I can't afford to purchase a t-shirt at every show I go to. I used to collect lava lamps, but I live in a shoe box and I just don't have the space for them, so I've been giving them away.
Rocks, especially crystals. Native American artifacts of all kinds books sheet music for the piano glass spheres and "different" marbles wishbones
That's exactly why I started collecting them! They fit in my suitcase and magnets seem lame. My beer glass collection isn't from travelling that's from trying to own a beer glass from every brewery. Even those would be too big to take home from trips. If I ever bring anything bigger back it's booze...
I have the same obsession with beer glasses too. Mind you most of mine are now broken and I've lost the confidence to keep punching them from the locals, lol. Every now and again they'll let me walk out with a stein. At Oktoberfest we get colorful tokens we pay for when you buy a stein. That token you hand back later on to get your money for the stein back but we'll pocket the stein and keep the token as good luck charm in my purse or bag. I need to go on a beer glass run again.
The only thing I have in any number that might be called a collection are the antlers and horns from deer I have hunted myself.
Books, I have a whole wall filled with them but I don't consider those collectibles. CD's by the 1000 but a lot of those I attained through a music publisher who was a client in one of my past jobs. Still not collectibles really.
Hello, as a kid I wasn't allowed to get this, I had to borrow it from a classmate : Who is the most intelligent soldier in this company? I think... it is corporal Fritz. OK, then bring him to me. I can't.. he deserted last night. Regards Gyro
Hello, do you have... pics? Oh, some people think I collect radios. But that's not true, I only have ten or so. Regards Gyro
Far too many things. The irony is that I have never started any of the collections. Salt and pepper shakers, I have hundreds packed as I do not have room here to display them. Thimbles, hummingbirds, Sue Coleman art, swarouski crystal animals, china plates and bone china animals. It is a good thing that I do not mind dusting.
Hey! I just remembered! I used to collect cigarette paper "books" in the early seventies. After using all the papers I would save the books they came in. Unfortunately I used up all the papers! I have a whole lot of them stored away somewhere, I'll have to dig them up. They look something like this:
I also used to collect "samples". Every time I scored I'd fill up a metal 35mm film can and put it away in a wooden box. Did that for about two years so I had a nice collection. Then every now and again I'd have a little party where we'd sample different samples. But, alas, hard times hit and the collect went up in smoke. I also used to have about 800 record albums but I sold most of them off.
I will be going to Germany for oktoberfest either this year or next. I look forward to this stein stealing tradition
Picked up recently: Beethoven, Mozart. Surprising to me was that both discs contained opera compositions by either Beethoven or Mozart. Didn't know they composed any opera. I just assumed it would be piano and symphonic stuff.
