what do u really know about christianity?

My argument isn't with the individuals as much as it is the entire "organized religious agenda". These "macro-cults" which base themselves on imaginary or, to be fair at least, "unproven" and "unexplained" phenomena and their "interpretations" of it--which, ironically enough, can be numerous.

 

sure, i can see that. i have the same problem with organized religions. but there's a lot of things that are unproven that are never proven until someone decides to have faith in the idea and test it. it may not be proven to you, but for a lot of people it has made a tangible and incredibly valuable change in their lives, and that's all the proof they need. whether or not it's just a chemical reaction in their brain, it's there, it worked, and it helped them to sleep at night. i'm sure you've had the EXACT SAME feeling whenever you decided on your current philosophy. can you blame them for wanting to keep that feeling?

 

As I said, as long as it doesn't affect me...I don't care if they decide to take a shit and worship it.

But, when it is legislated or shoved at me, I will retaliate with my words and protests.

i don't believe that at all. we may learn to make the best of a bad situation and put a positive spin on things, but i definitely have "sinned," i suppose, against people. god notwithstanding, i have hurt people without cause.
