90% of the reason why I stopped eating meat is just that it makes me sick now. I love animals but if they're already dead why not eat them, you know? Besides I eat fish so it would be dumb of me to say oh poor animals.. and not poor fish..
i do prefer white meat. thats why i like boneless wings. its not really the wings. its white meat made into like....big chunks, or nuggets, then breaded and fried and doused in wing sauce. also, they're more filling yum yum yum... but i could really go for a whole heap of boneless wings with spicy garlic wing sauce, and a pitcher or two of some nice beer. maybe an IPA:cheers2:
Haha! God, my two families are so worlds apart, its beyond. My dad;s side immigrated here from Denmark with nothing, very small family. We just had two deaths in the family recently. My uncle is a truck driver/harley rider, cousins off in BC. My aunt worked at walmart an dnow lives up in the country. My moms side...Ill just say theyre upper class. My family is the only one who didnt go to private school. We went to french school though. Its bizarre.
i never wanted to bother you about it, but i wondered about that a bit. i was especially curious if you ate octopus or squid some of the smartest animals in the ocean! very smart, actually. plus they have crazy nervous systems! they don't produce myelin, so they have to have really big axons to let the signals travel fast enough! squid axons can be as big as 1mm it width!!!!
technically yes.. I just get really sick with real meat - even if there a tiny piece of ham in a quiche or something.. it's just.. so fleshy.. Fish doesn't have the same effect on me for some reason.
I used to play with my guy friends. When we were younger they let me play so they could cop a feel. haha Now they let me because it's fun to laugh at each other. I'm better at playing basketball...but it's fun either game. I would totally take you to a football game. I guess I could take you to a crappy high school game. A friend of mine coaches so you could get the experience of that. Or you could just be a cheerleader for one of our games if we could get everyone to meet up.
Tuna really makes me sick Its just that the taste of tuna is REALLY strong, if that makes any sense...
i can understand it, i dont like some fish. not a fan of catfish except on rare occasions. i love tuna, personally, but if i get it in a restaraunt its usually really, really rare. a little pink is ok, but with fish, even meaty fish like tuna, i want it cooked through a little more. i dont eat canned tuna though. fucking disgusting, vile stuff last time i had canned tuna i found a bone and some scales in it!
It's not the same as animal flesh. It doesn't have that texture. And I know not all meats have the same texture but.. I don't know how to explain. Meat has veins and stuff in it.. even if it doesn't and even if fish does as well, I don't care. Fish flesh is all soft.. meat is all.. hard and obvious.. but that's not even the problem, or most of the problem, I will puke if I eat meat. I can't believe one time I ate steak tartar. You know it's raw beef?
I don't believe it! canned tuna here ain't so bad. BumbleBee Solid White Albacore in Water it's actually pretty good with a little mayo in it.
I am making this year (for christmas): Gewurtzaminer (german wine) basted organic free-range small turkey crusted in herbs and wine based gravy (can't stand heavy-fatty gravy) cranberry sauce made with grand marnier and orange zest roasted potatoes and root veggies traditional herbed stuffing and some sort of pear or apple tart-something light and spicey I'm going to try and find an awesome organic sulfiate free pinot noir with heavy cranberry notes Fort Thanksgiving I am going to do the same turkey, roasted veggies and potatoes and gravy and will most likely just buy two yummy pasteries from the huge bakery at our new whole foods. It's going to be just the two of us for Thanksgiving, but our family is coming here for Christmas and since they have a long drive I will be the only one cooking. The thing I disliked about my family's holidays as a child was the huge surplus of food that seemed burdensome after the meal. I like enough food for everyone to have leftovers and maybe to make some soup, but not enough to sit in the freezer and rot for months until I have finally come to terms that a lot of food was wasted.
