We went out last night for chinese at a buffett evrything was cold (Not Good) I am making chicken tonight.
I would be sooooo upset if someone fiddled with something I was cooking .... my husband and I guard our pots.... if I hear him peeking in a pot or he thinks I adjusted the temperature dial theres an all out war! WE had perogies and bratwurst, and sliced up veggies. These perogies are the best *drools*... we get them at the butcher shop of all places.
I know I am making chicken tonight but not sure if I will do oven fried or bakes lemon pepper ( really could use some new chicked ideas!) the type of chicken will determined the type of potatoes but I am thinking boiled buttered with parsley potatoes (mmmmmmmm my favorite).
Here's a chicken recipe that even my most pickiest child loves, and believe me, that's no small feat. 1/2 cup of ketchup 1/2 cup of 100% apricot spreadable fruit 1 tablespoon of canola oil 2 teaspoons of lemon juice (although I have used lime occasionally) 2 teaspoons of minced garlic 1 to 2 teaspoons of hot pepper sauce 1 teaspoon of coarsely ground pepper 3/4 teaspoon of salt 4-5 boneless, skinless chicken breasts Line a shallow roasting pan with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray and preheat your oven to 350 degress. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the first eight ingredients. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 90 seconds, stirring once. Dip the chicken into the sauce to thoroughly coat and arrange in the prepared pan. Pour the remaining sauce over the chicken and bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until a meat thermometer reads 170 degrees. This chicken is really tasty, I know the ingredients might sound a little odd, but it's super yummy. Usually I serve this with wild rice with shredded carrots and zucchini in it. But potatoes could go with it too I would think!
Thank You So Much! I was getting board with the same old stuff and with this new diet they have him on it is almost impossible to cook anything .
You're welcome. What kind of diet is it that he's on? If it's a low-sodium diet, you'll want to use the ketchup with no added salt.
He is on a diet that is low fat/no fat and vary low/no fiber, and practically no dairy unless it is fat free.
His stomach does not work like it is suppose to so he has to rely on gravity for food to digest and for his stomach to empty. = lots of meds and a strict diet.
My hubby made grilled chiken with mac and cheese he's not much of a cook but he pitched in since I was not feeling top notch last night he thought he would just mess up the chicken that hippychickmommy suggested. I told him I would give it a shot on friday.
I made vegetarian 'meat' loaf, baby arugula salad with garlicy vinegrette, and an apple pie for dessert. I was in the mood to bake yesterday, hence the pie.... but it's not something I normally do.
